Haha I want to know too! Unfortunately it would probably be more along the lines of a 255 on a 10" for a little stretch.. Please don't kill me!
I swear I won't run a 225 on a 10.5" with et20 like I had before with the Speedlines :)

I did not have any rubbing issues with those though.

I had 18x10 also with no rubbing issues. Its all about the offset :)

I kinda forget but they were et 55 ish out back I think and 32 mm-ish adapters. I have to go dig through some old posts to get exact numbers.

255 on a 10" wheel will look like this on this car:

it was a tight fit, but I liked it that way. I swear they didn't rub, even at full compression!

I guess your suspension never compressed more than 10mm...

Wow - welcome to the limit! Awesome :)

I believe that they didn't rub - my 10.5" et20 cleared everything with only a couple mm's to spare

I'm running a 18 x 8.5 wheel square setup without any rubbing in the front or rear. But 18 x 10 is a completely different story-at least in the front. Nick just posted some pictures of his 200 with BBS RS-GT's with 18 x 8.5 (F) and 18 x 9.5 (R). Wide wheels can fit on T-44's. It's all about the proper offset. I do prefer a square setup like most people.

Yep square is definitely preferred in my taste. I think I may create a jig to measure the capability of the 200. Something simple to simulate various wheel width and offset.

more trouble than it is worth - you can just fully compress susp by jacking opposite corner (usually) and if front wheel turn lock to lock while taking measurements of what you have and do simple math. even easier for rear because of no turning. my simple math says that 10" wide with 255s rubs at least somewhere if not everywhere on a t44. sure it is all about offset, i am not disagreeing but there is still a point that you can not go any wider with any offset.

lol I swear it never rubbed and I hit plenty of bumps on a daily basis. The suspension geometry is such that it tucks right up in there. Also, there was at least another 12-25 mm of space left to go inward... I just liked the flush look.

This current wheel and tire set are my first that rub, but that's because the diameter is too big - 245/40/R18

you guys removing liners? I think cornering load is more likely to uncover a rubbing issue than hitting a bump.

The wheels naturally camber out on compression so they tuck into the fender nicely.

It looks great but why run 255's on a 10" wide wheel when you can fit them on an 8.5" wheel? After modding my front struts I will run 265/35/18 on 18x9" (C4)...that is the most tire I can fit under stock fenders.

You are right Ed, there is no point if you are running the same tire. I could have put 275 on there with no problem with a different offset though.

What are you doing to your strut housings to mod them to fit your future wheel and tire setup? What wheels and what offset will you use?

I'll believe it when I see it! T44 suffers from the same issue as the C4, interference with the steering arm. Unless of course you are talking about some mexican wheel offset :P

The steering arms will be lowered about 3" on the strut tube, clearanced on the outside, and potentially clocked slightly inwards. I'd like to avoid re-clocking as I don't want to upset Ackerman geometry, but a slight adjustment may be necessary and wouldn't have much effect. Wheels will be 18x9 or 18x9.5, around et40.

Agreed from a performance standpoint. I don't mind the idea of staggered offsets, lips, but square widths all around though. That is my plan if I can ever get a new center for one of my speedlines.
