2014 Nor-Cal Coast Drive SUCCESS:)

Here's the scoop. We decided to do something different than the annual Lake Tahoe Drive to mix things up and keep it interesting, so this year the drive will be out on the California coast just north of Santa Rosa. The drive will include a breakfast stop at a nice restaurant, a scenic drive up Highway 1, a stop at one of the beaches for photo ops, and a drive back down on Highway 101. I will have Ringbearer post up a map of the route he has taken the time to plan for this years drive.

The date we have settled on this year is SATURDAY JULY 19th.

We do have one new rule this year... YOU MUST REGISTER WITH ME (no charge) TO ATTEND. This is so we have a semi-definite count of attendees to help us with planning and adjustments as needed. If you have a friend or person who cannot contact me you can PM me and register them. Please Give me your first and last names, phone number I can actually reach you at (hopefully the phone you will have with you during the drive), and what vehicle you will be in. Last minute adds will not be an issue as long as I am notified before they show up.

Please PM me if you would like to join us this year. It should be a good time as it always has been.

At least your car runs!
If time frees up it would be great to have you.
We need at least one 4k, Dans won't be done and Mikes can talk now and wants a 3b...

I'm glad I'm not the only person that was weirded out by his talking car.

Like wtf?

EDIT: Just took the time to look at it fully. That's a long cruise. Damn son.

Does he think he is in Night Rider or something? Funny shit.

At least he loves his Audi, can't fault him for that :)

I really really want to make it, but I will be on a 40+ mile hike in the Grand Teton mountains (A trip that we have been planning for over a year).

I think he means the 2015 drive ;)

And just for the record, any modified old Audi is never "done"...

True Dan. I would update but I have nothing to update with. Car is still 600 miles from me and I'm not the one doing the work. My "Builder" is doing the rebuild. I wont see it until its done. The work will be photographed by a professional photographer as it gets done, once it starts getting done. I will post up the pictures as I receive them which is going to be very soon.

That's great. I may not have mine done so I may need a ride ;)

I guess taking it apart would be a good start, lol.

A huge thanks to ringbearer for planning such a great route this year and for spreading the word and getting people to join us, there were almost too many turns ;)

Also, I cant say thank you enough to speding-g60 for the generous loaning of his beautiful supercharged VR6 GTI so that a small dream could come true. That really was a special gift and made a HUGE difference in how the weekend went for a certain hard working person. That really was a standup and selfless act, and you deserve honorable mention and maybe a loaner car you will receive for next years drive as long as you come down ;) Thanks buddy :)
