i may have an opportunity to buy a grey market 200 locally for a good price. Looking to part it out, if it makes sense. Going to look at it in the next couple days, just gaining interest.

well turns out the front is gone, rear is....ok condition. the headlights are in one piece. just need to run the part number off them...and that was inconclusive(44741007, drivers). Not sure what these are but vagcat doesnt list the number I have for an 85 200q. It also has the euro plate tub on it. It def is an 85 and its def been imported....weird

the euro 200 bumpers are 2 piece and do not have core supports iirc.

if the car you are looking at is a grey color and has sat a lot of years... its not in very good shape. i asked someone about their euro 200 years ago, and they are atill posting on audifans or craigslist

lol, I saw this car on CL a while back... I wanted it just for the bumpers.

Front was gone already. Cool story about the car. It was really imported, used to be an ice racing car. It wasnt BEAT, but he wouldnt take my offer. I mean, its an early 200. If it were late and had rear flares I would have gone higher. Anyway, been through many hands now. Who knows where it is now! The guys like, "its hard as hell to get parts for this car", "all the parts stores say I dont show an 85 200 in my computer". LOL thank goodness for autozone.

That is pretty damn cool. Yeah When I saw '85 200 at first I was like... wait, what? you mean 5000? but nope... I think it even mentioned "grey market" in the ad... that scared me away because I was looking for a driver and not a legalization headache.

Def looked cool in the ad though.
