OB, this looks identical to my old Forge DV that I pulled outta my s4. only diff was mine was silver polished with "forge" cast into the top. My car had the 006, a super robust model that is easily serviced should the need arise. I would have kept mine but there was some galvanic corrosion issue from being installed on a VT car for 12 years...
Forge still makes the 006, and sells the service kits for them for a whopping $10. I dont believe the 034 is servicable (per the photos on their site). The 006 also costs nearly double what the 034 does new, So whoever grabs this is getting a deal!

You may be 100% right, only that I don't wanna misrepresent.... the previous owner was an Audi tech and did the mod in 2006... I cannot get a hold of him to verify... if Forge ever had a non stamped early version, this could very possibly be it... I'm about the adjust my asking price if this is true....
