Forged controle arm busing bores

Post by DE80q »

Well, I purchased a pair of forged arms from a guy on Audifans. I pressed out the bushings to discover that someone had done the burn out, and cut to remove some bushings previously. The problem is, they managed to cut pretty deep into the bores. :bangshead:

I just Im wondering, how deep is too deep? I know that the only thing holding the bushing in, and in essense on the car, is the wall thickness of the bushing bore. I really dont want to go threw the trouble of finding another pair of arms, and was wondering if there is anyone out there that has BTDT with no ill effects.

Did they cut slots in the bore, or screw it up around the inside of the bore?
