I took my dogs out at 7:30 this evening for their walk and discovered this:






No note, not even a fake one. Just a big f-u. The fender, both doors and the rear arch are creased, and there are some big chips missing from the rear door. There are traces of rubber, plastic and gelcoat along the side of the car.

Pissed off doesn't even begin to define how I am feeling right now! I have a feeling it was the landscaping crew, as the car was fine this morning when we went for our walk, and they were here this afternoon. And I usually see some clown on a zero-turn zipping around under the covered spots blowing the stray grass into a pile in the middle of the driveway. I really hate people sometimes

Check all around for security cameras that may have caught it!

Wow, I agree, look for cameras in the general area. I have been considering buying cheap sub 50$ HD dash cams that run 24/7 in all of my cars. Issurance companies are actually starting to give lower premiums if you have them as they catch stuff like this.

I hate that there is such dishonesty in some (or many/most) people, never mind a severe lack in basic motor skills. I had a hit and run while I was in a gas station one evening. I came outside unaware of what happened, but noticed that everyone was looking at me. I didn't think much of it until I arrived at my destination one mile down the road and saw my busted taillight and damaged bumper. No one said a word, not even any of the witnesses.

I will be installing a camera or 2 in my coupe for things like this. Now, to add to the rampant stupidity in society, is the self-parking car. That's another reason for a camera system for sure.

Here's hoping you catch the lowlife who did this to your car and left.

I sort of feel your pain on a much lower level. Every time I take my M5 out, it seems it gains a new scratch or dent :( :( :(

That sucks, but also, in the lower pic it looks like you were parked part way into another space. guess they were the kind of person that makes bad parkers pay for it. Or is that how you parked after the incident?

Both spots belong to me. I pay $70 a month for the two reserved spots, and since the TT was totalled I have been straddling the line (unless my girlfriend is parked in one, which is rare) to keep the morons who cannot read the giant RESERVED - NO PARKING signs and assignment numbers from parking beside me and dinging my cars. There are giant 18 inch wide by 6 inch thick steel roof supports on either side of my two spots to protect me from neighboring cars.

I did a lot of "investigating" yesterday afternoon and found fresh scuffs and scratches on my rocker panel and both wheels. No damage to my rearview mirror at all. I'm now 110% convinced it was a tractor or commercial mower, as the tire scuffs go no higher than the beltline trim.

Ah, that explains it, lol. Hopefully your insurance will cover it or you can find the idiot that did it . Some people really desevre to get their legs broken. Wish you the best outcome for this bad situation.

Have to wait until morning to call this one in to the Plano PD non-emergency line. Hope I can sleep!

Based on the distance on the side of your car that they scraped before stopping and the fact that they ran and tried to cover it up, I'd say there is a pretty good chance they were drunk. Hope they get what they deserve.

if nothing comes of it, strategicly placed urine in the a/c intake, and a bottle of brake fluid sprayed on the paint does wonders. that is if you can be covert and all.....hush hush GLG20 style.

Glad to see you found the idiot. Sucks for him. I'll tell you this as just a random rant(not a suggestion )... The worst bad smell i ever encountered in a car was an open bag of clams stuffed under the back seat of a car during a hot summer spell at my former place of work. It was death x1000. Had to wear a full on painters mask and it still made me wanna puke through the mask.

That would be raw sir. And not sure what clam bellies are but these were not strips for sure. Whole clams in the shell.
