So with these adjustable cam gears - you can realistically "Trick" your ecu's current tune to include/remove more timing?
I was going to play around with the distributor timing, but I have been told it will not affect anything as the ecu will compensate. Very good price btw.

Short answer is no. The adjustable cam gear is used to change when the camshafts open & close the valves in relation to the crankshaft & piston location. This will alter the power curve of the engine. Retard the cam timing to increase top end power or Advance cam timing for more low end power. Change the timing relationship between the intake & exhaust camshafts to "dial In" the engine for most horsepower/torque or where you want the power band of the engine. There is more information to this than I have posted here but this is a quick synopsis.
