Dont know if these are are of any interest here, you guys out there in the states probably get it a sight better weatherwise than dreary old england so your Ur's might not suffer like ours do from this issue.
Stripping the bakes off my car i found the rear brake shields/dust/stone guards were composed basically of iron oxide and little else, but i suppose 30 years of weather is going to play its part in that.
This is one of the fronts.

The rears...well lets play- name that part.

The right side wanst so bad, but still, not pretty.

A trip to a dealers and various other parts outlets yielded the dreaded answer "NLA" or no longer available.
What to do?
Leave them off or try and copy them?
So me being me and refusing to be beaten by them having gone extinct i copied them, but i wanted them to last *forever* so i made a prototype in stainless and spent about $600 on making various press tools to at least attempt to get them close.
The result is these items, not too bad for a guy working out of his little garage space.

Sold a few sets over here and had a great reports back on fit etc, can make some more if enough folk show interest, id need around 10 orders to get a set of blanks cut at the local laser cutters and then do the forming of edges and pressings myself.

Cost for a set of 4 is £120 plus postage which compares favourably with the stock items made from the orginal mild steel, (£34 plus vat each) but these will last longer than the cars owner. :)
Standard size discs only on the fronts, rears can accomodate the 20 valve discs just about as i converted my rear set up to take the 20 valve disc and caliper arrangement.

Oh nearly forgot, the front set of these will also fit directly and replace the ones on the Audi 200 5T from 1982.

These look great! My car has none but the factor ones wouldn't clear my larger rotors anyhow
