The stats:
7A
New rings, bearings, hone, valve job done on head.
Running Castrol GTX20/50
How should I run in the engine?
30min initial start up fast idle?
How hard to I drive it?
This is a track car, so i can't drive it on the street too much, I can do some quick runs up and down the local freeway.

Not that I’m an expert engine builder but when I rebuilt the engine in my coupe I put the engine under load as soon as possible. When I knew the cooling system was operating correctly I drove the car around the neighborhood. In a low gear I let the idle of the engine move the car around and then took it out to get the rpm’s up. Considering where I was, I started to drive it for what it was intended for. I did that until I had a chance to take it out to the track and miss use it. Changed the oil after the track day. Unfortunately the car has sat for awhile. Only have 2 or 3 track days on the engine.
Good luck with it!

Especially for a track car. Might be best to get it out on some secondary highways if possible.
