Forum Suggestions...

Post by chaloux »

Hey thur Ed et al,

I realize the forum was literally put up yesterday, but since we're all about openness, I figured a thread about improving this place couldn't hurt :)

Reading a few threads I realized it's pretty hard to distinguish between posts sometimes. Perhaps slightly different and alternating colours could be used. I'm sure font sizes and spacing etc. all have to be tweaked still, so this may improve as the bugs are ironed out.

That's all for now. Diggin' the vibe here already

Yeah, I don't know if my eyes are just fatigued from welding/cad monkey work all day or if the white is harde to read at night.

Thx Matt. It will take some time to tweak to get it perfect... we're working out the server situation now, will continue to make tweaks to the interface though.

Don't know what you mean by refreshes out, but I'm using chrome on 2 different comps with no issues. Try clearing your cache/cookies

Thanks - I see now... I'm able to replicate that behavior, but it only occurs on forum.irozmotorsport.com. I'll take a look at it.

Use one of the project pad links and it should work fine.

Three to choose from ;)

Perfect... logged in and deleting the IMS to avoid dup notification...

Now on to video embedding and placing a "subscribe" button where most can see it, instead of all the way at the bottom of the page... :hides:

You may want to enable the 'www' subdomain as it is not done by default on Plesk systems. A lot of people out there still think it is a necessary part of an address, and may help with the traffic. Currently, www.theprojectpad.com goes to a default Plesk placeholder.

Ah yeah. Set up the DNS but didn't think of that after we moved servers. Thanks!
