Lightweight block mod?

I feel your pain, when did that happen? Was this with the new K24 on it?

Well FWIW at least it doesn't look like there's valve kiss marks on the piston, do you know the status of those valves yet?

That's what I was thinking. Why do you think the valves might be bent?

I haven't disassembled the head yet to test. I suspect the intake valves on #5 are bent because it gets harder to turn over by hand when they move. Same portion of the cycle.

It might just be where they're located with relation to other lobes in terms of effort, have you tried going the opposite direction? I've never seen bent valves without kiss marks. I have seen valves halfway embedded in pistons before though haha

Finally making some headway

A little too fast for the little brute 7000

I finally got my tune dialed in on my 200 running the 7400, I love the setup. Drives like stock but pulls like crazy. I think a billet wheel is in my future...

Cool, I'm excited! I think later I will install a ARD billet wheel.
What turbine housing are you using?

eesh. too much clearance on that turbine outlet. you're looking for closer to .040" total clearance. that looks like about 4 times that.

That picture is the 7000 not the 7400. I was showing the difference. The 7400 fit is .040" offset from the profile

I can now focus on this project.
No bent valves! I surfaced the head, decked the block, honed it to 81.5mm. I'm awaiting Wiesco pistons from FRP.

I took only .003 off of each. Not bad.
I plan to port match the RS2 EM.

haha, thanks man. When I started working here in the back of my mind I was thinking "I may end up building an engine here". Well, one coworker blew up his E36 M3, then I killed the 20vt. I never built an engine before, but here is the place to do it.

Deburring the bottom end. I cleaned up the oil galley. I took a video of a bore scope through galley. Woot!
