Because it is nice enough for someone that needs a cleaner interior/chassis yet it is not nice enough to become a show car since I do not want to put any further car project $ into it.

has ~124k with a nice tan interior, lowering springs and bilsteins.

Damn man couldn't you find one in rougher shape to break apart? There are plenty of ratty ones around. I fear the day that I need to find a rear hatch replacement glass. Why not buy one of the thousands of aans out there? Sorry man, but it's a little short sighted to break a clean avant for its engine unless it has serious problems. Of course, no one can stop you. It just sucks for our ability to find parts in the future.

Where are you located, Mr. McBoost? I would be interested, but fear you are too far for it to be practical.

Im in NY.

I want this nice strong running 3b I know the whole history of. I do not want to buy one of the tons unknown engines. I drove this car and it has everything I want to complete my CQ. I know its rare, so it can go to someone that needs a cleaner shell since THEIRs is ratty. I only can keep the cars I have love affection with. It needs to have the looks to keep me happy, not just the rareness, sorry. My "loss" will be someones gain.

Noone will buy the shell to fix up. T44 owners are too poor/cheap generally. That's my prediction anyway. This one is headed for the junkyard or partout. I'd love to be proven wrong though. You'll get more money selling it whole anyway. The going rate for a clean avant is more than 5k. Hell, I paid 6k for a 228k mile example last year (although it is exceptionally clean).

For that, you could just get a fresh built engine from Jeff Gerner. Then you'd be miles ahead in terms of performance potential.

I like this plan better too!

It's really going to be rare in ten years!
