Finally did a muffler delete on the 540i...

http://youtu.be/yR9rUyNrohEUsed a C6 vetted tail pipe, trimmed tip and some 3" tubing, all laying around the shop. Can't beat free.

I'm super happy with how it came out especially for not spending a dime and just a few hours milling about the shop. Welding practice is always good anyway.

Sounds pretty similar to my M5. Definitely a must do mod for any BMW v8!

It's strange, since doing this mod I've encountered a few C6 corvettes on the street and I feel that having the same tip makes the pitch somewhat similar... I have no idea if that's even possible but I don't see why not.
I may be crazy though.
