Found a loaner, determined all wiring was good, now seeking a permanent cluster for the rally car. Somewhere near 215k on the odo would be magic, but anything working would be great!

If full cluster then CQ if just the odo and/or speedo the 80/90 will work. Thanks for the clarifying question

Update: any 20V90 cluster will do

I have 2 mostly working clusters, neither has a working odo though

Just replace the gear in the odo and be done with it, they can be had off of eBay for less than $20

If only that was that was the problem. Motor is the issue or it would be a mute point by now.

Contact porschenut on MG. He is parting out and early build 90 20v.

I'm while sorting through my pile of clusters with problems last night I noticed that the clusters are marked with impulses per mile.
You probably want to match this up so that your speedometer and odometer match reality.

a 90 20v cluster is exactly the same as the CQ, but few 90 didnt have the trip computer.

Understood. Every cluster I've had thus far hasn't had the fancy trip. I'd rather see the fancy trip computer and nice cluster go to a member with a daily/show car versus my rally pig!

groff, you can also just swap speedometers around between clusters. I had a 90 20v beater without a working odo, and the gear wasnt the issue. The actual stepper motor was dead. I swapped in a 120mph speedo and motor from a front wheel drive 4 cylinder 80 into the 90 20v cluster and all worked accurately. So any working b3 speedo/odo can go into your cluster.
