Xona Rotor Turbochargers. Anyone else heard of them?

So I was pretty much set on buying a FP GT3586R. I called FP and they told me about a new line of turbos they are carrying. Ive never heard of them, after some research they seem to be a decent turbo. They use a "variable preload angular contact bearing system". I guess a GTR just broke the pump gas record with two of the Xona XR7865's. The price seems to be pretty fair as well. I figured if Mr young is involved they must be pretty good.

I just heard of them recently. Apparently it's a joint venture between fp and tial. Could be interesting, but I don't know. Not much info yet.

BW has left a bad taste in my mouth more then once. On my B5 A4 I went from a gt3076 to EFR 7163 Per recommendation of my best friend and full race. First two turbos I got had MAJOR casting flaws. Third turbo was great..until I started the car. It blew oil right out of the turbine side. Full race refunded my money and I've been Garret ever since. The friend that recommended EFR later had a catastrophic failure in his 800+hp Integra, His 8374 decided to come apart at 11k rpm.

I have heard that BW has made changes and the newer EFR turbos are much better...Mr Iroz has had great success with EFR recently. I don't want to run a divided housing or use a valve..so the EFR doesn't appeal to me as much. :hide:

Likewise, I would give Xona a while to work out the kinks...
