I've owned several of them with full interiors and spare in them, avant tipping the scales at 3880lbs, and sedan weighing in at 3640.
anyone ever toss theirs on a scale?

My 5ktq with almost zero weight reduction, just no spare tire and a low gas tank weighed in at 3350 on the scales my local SCCA uses.
I have pictures somewhere.

yeah, not sure how you managed 3880 with your avant
i had tools in the back, full interior, and a half a tank of gas. only 'weight reduction' could be 3" exhaust i suppose.

It was on a scale that a local farm co-op has. I weighed my V8 swapped Audi 90 on a recycling yard scale and it was 3180 with me in it.
Was the 5ktq weighed with you in it, Phillip?

It was empty. I was not in the car.

My 5k weighed in sub 3400 with me (180lbs) and Gromit (45lbs) at the junkyard twice without anything else in it. I think my 200 avant was ~3500 same situation.

Was the AC system and all of that still in the car? Power/heated leather seats, etc?

A/C, power/heated seats, all still in car.
Literally the only weight loss the car had was spare tire and maybe the exhaust? the stock exhaust is heavy, but the system I put on wasn't much better.

Here's a pic from last summer, got my 200 20vt sedan weighted.

1747kg with me inside, 1670kg empty car. She's fat.
In the pic there are corner weights too, but they're not 100% accurate due to the ground were not straight at weighting point.
Bigger corner weights with me on drivers seat.
Car has full AC, electric seats, some sound insulating on doors, etc. Oh, and about 3/4 of gas in tank.

I weighed my 1989 200tq sedan, and it was 3440lbs (1563kg) with me in it, and a half tank of fuel. AC deleted, 3" exhaust.

My '91 200 20v Avant weighed in at 3800 with a 180 lb. driver behind the wheel. Car was stock, empty, and had 1/2 a tank. Had G60s. No cargo cover. Maybe Euros?-can't remember.
