What site did you find that on?
My title says that the purchase price of my car was $42,400 or something of that nature.

Derek edumacate me one minute. What bracket are you using for the AC relocation and more importantly why did you relocate it?

that looks like a stock 4000 alternator bracket. The 4000 has the alternator on the radiator side and the AC on the turbo side. I imagine swapping sides made it easier to use factory wiring and hoses

small update.. i meant to do this last week but my card and computer weren't getting along so happily. i got sick of the squeaky seat and i'm waiting until i get a chance to sew the seats up with help of a friend that does it for a living... so until then, i stuck the ol' recaro's back in and MAN, life is good!

Derek, I was looking at your opening post on this and I saw the salesman's card in with your literature. Ever thought about contacting him and showing him what has gone on?

Hey Derek those look great
btw are you using a combination switch from a 200 on the 5ktq clam shell? If so how did you make that work?

that's actually a cool idea. i have the email address for the previous owner and his parents who owned the car before him (i'm the third owner), and it's been a while since i sent them an update. today i'm working on blacking the trim out and painting the trim around the windows so that's all nice and fresh. i'm also giving her a nice clay bar and wax job since i haven't done it since last oct/nov when i first detailed her out. now i've got some nice wheels on and it's looking pretty sharp. i'd like to get some nice pics since most of them so far have been in the driveway or whatever.
Corey- yes, it's a combo switch from a 200. if you go back through the thread it covers switching steering columns.... and rewiring

Derek I went back to page 27, you do not really go into any detail of the wiring required for the conversion

Derek- what trim are you blacking out? is it the aluminum trim around the front and sides and the handle trim?
If so, i was thinking of doing the same think except having the front and rear aluminum trim anodized black.

cause you getta book, and figure it out

most of the stuff transfers straight across, even in wire color as far as the wipers, signals,CC, and headlights.
on the trim, no, i like the stainless trim on my cars and that's staying natural color. the trim i'm painting is around the windows and dying the side belt lines, and bumper tops. it's coming out pretty dang sharp....
