SOOOO... I had to run to Mexico really quick and while I was down there I ran into an STI ...

(Vids from STI Perspective) OH and ya the turbo noise is from my car. HAHA

OOHHHH MY.......... THIS is why i dont spend 35k on a dang subaru. 80's Power FTW SICK pull Ben ESPECIALLY since he got a 2-3 car lead off the start.

LOL, I love that this car has been together for all of 48 hours and you are out beating on it! Looks fast! How much boost?

Right now it's hanging around 13-14psi, at least that's what the gauge indicates. As for beating on it, I was really worried about launching it hard because of what happened to Phil today, so I was really nice to it on the launches, after that though, I just let her rip! HAHA

EDIT: And as for boost, I am not sure what happened. Yesterday it didn't go over 10 psi, and now it's hitting 13-14. I checked the vacuum line to the base of the WG and that looked ok. SO am not sure what's up yet.

I am amazed at the fact that I've been watching this build for the past couple of years and it just seems to sudden that you are out there beating on it and not having any issues! Great job dude!

Thanks Chris! This build has definitely had it's ups and downs for me. And ya, I know I'm beating on it pretty early in the game, but what the heck, if it's going to break; I want it to break a few miles from home. Not hundreds. xD

OH and did I mention... I can't wait to turn up the BOOOST! xD

EDIT: Issues list :

-Partially blew out the discharge gasket for the turbo/DP connection
-Heater core hose split at the back of the head and puked out coolant
-My Crank case vent (@ the head) was puking out oil yesterday. I have a temporary fix on it now


Another EDIT HAHA: Chris, just on a side note man, I gotta say it's REALLY weird driving this thing around. Its been so long ... it's just surreal at this point. I am sure it will set in soon though.

Thanks Darin! And yup, Marc gave me a really solid base tune, I have not detected a single hint of predetention. You shouldn't worry so much Darin!

Little update:

SO I now am tuned through 14.5 psi (thank you Hank and Marc!) Also, fixed an exhaust leak, adjusted the shifter again, repaired an annoying exhaust vibration and just in general I have been trying to rack up the miles on it so I can crank to boost. I have a few other things to clean up, like unneeded wiring a small oil leak from the cooler and just other odds and ends.

BUT it's official. I am tainted by the speed of this thing. It needs to go faster. :dur:

A solid pull on an STI at only 14psi. nice

The never-ending battle has begun. It is never enough! I think you'll like that turbo at 25-ish psi though as long as it doesn't start to choke out.
