The pin size/spacing is very finicky. Try taking one bolt out and moving the sensor as you try to start.

he's on an econoseal setup. his first issue was that his triggers were grounded to the wrong pin. current issue is that his secondary triggers are firing every crank revolution, meaning his cam sensor is grounded out.

I will get it checked out tonight after work, or tomorrow. Should be running by EOD tomorrow.
Edit: Also, I totally missed the fact that all the sensors used a shared ground, that was totally my bad. I am not sure why the cam sensor is grounding out all the time yet. Hopefully it's an easy fix.
Re: Ben's Oceanic H1C/K26 AAN 4kq - Electrical noise
I'll tell you what, today has been one hell of a roller coaster day! (I feel like Darin) HAHA
SO, it lives... kinda...
Here is the only good video I have of it at this exact moment, my buddy has one on his phone and I still need to get it. Here is a bit of a teaser for ya...
Also, for some stupid reason #5 and #4 plugs where switched on the coils, so that's why It was having a fit running in the video. (That is sense fixed) HAHA
As for the rest of the day, I didn't get crap for videos because I was pretty jazzed about driving it. By driving it, I mean the two maybe 3 miles I made it before my T-belt self destructed, WHICH, I have no idea why it decided to, but whatever, I caught it before it totally destroyed itself completely....
Needless to say, I am going to get a new belt ordered and in the mean time I am going to try and figure out why the belt walked on me like it did. NOW the question you guys actually want answered... TURBO... MY GOD THIS THING IS FUN! Pretty laggy until around 3500, then it really builds boost and just freakin flies! I got on it pretty damn hard the last mile and holy frick, this thing is a fun!!! Another thing I am going to have to address is the clutch. Once I hit 5500 RPMs and above, in boost it really starts to slip a lot. I am running Derek's old 016 set up, so I am going to have to get something a little more grabby to really put the power down.
I am really sorry for the lack of a road video, I was literally on my way to go get a passenger to capture the moment. Anyways, stay tuned for next weekend, I will toss on a new belt and hit the road! (With vids of course)
Pic of where I pulled over right after I heard the T-belt noise ...
Damn... I got lucky today.

Yeah that could have been VERY bad, so kudos for catching it. Some small bolt/bolts fell down and were stuck by the crank sprocket? Seen this a few times on VW's.

Way to go Ben! I know you've had to wait a long time for this day. Very cool milestone.

Thanks guy's! I will check for bolts and such. Looking at it, it almost looks like it tried to walk off the cam gear, soooo when I throw the new one on I will pay really close attention to what it is doing before I take it for a spin.

Looks like a classic bolt dropping in the lower cover. Good catch. Congrats man.

Awesome!, and not so awesome. At least you caught it before the thing turned into a true wallet drainer. BTW, doesnt dropping stuff down in the lower cover ususally cause the belts to skip and bend valves? I've only seen one case of something down there and it ended up bending valves(derracuda's).

I'm happy to see it running and glad you didn't snap that belt! Way to keep at it!

Congrats Ben!
What brand belt is that? Open timing covers scare the crap outta me.

Thanks guys! I imagine if a bolt or a rock happen to make it's way into the lower cover, maybe it lodged itself between the the cover and the belt, causing it to tear the crap out of it. This is the first time I've seen it.

Thanks man! It's a Contitech which are usually really good. I NEVER run with an open cover, I was just too lazy to throw it back on before I drove it. Notice in every other engine bay shot, the cover is on. HAHA

:woowoo: :woowoo: Way to go Ben. It looks like things are looking up for you and the car. With enough luck to not have bent valves, I'd say you're doing well. Either something found its way down between the timing belt cover or possible you may have an MC pulley/damper installed with 7a 20v everything else? The offset is a bit different and will let the belt walk out. Otherwise it looks great. Congrats.

Its funny that I say that, mine has been open since day one. Always super careful not to drop anything down there and constantly checking that belt out. Some one was saying something about Kevlar belts like the 1.8t guys get but it never happened
You'll have it all set soon enough, overtightening is a common problem also.
