When you have an Allroad you do... Allroad things?

Image

Pulled out of my sister's driveway by brother in law's excavator. Only 75' backwards and sideways through mud. I'm amazed Sarah made it that far down the driveway! After driving through heavy rain home, I still washed probably 5lb of mud out of the wheels.

Perfect timing... Lol

This car is great... Lol

$1100 in wheels, $600 in brakes, $300 in other misc parts (hood strut, oem coolant tank since my year-old one is cracked and leaking, general upkeep) and now it's going into soft limp. Key cycle resets it, but it will do it in 6th @3krpm every time it seems. Lower gears are hit and miss.

Every time I have to touch this engine I just feel dread. Gonna check the codes first obviously, but damn. I hope it's a nice little boost leak that's easy to fix... yarite

Praise baby Jesus I fixed the low boost and soft limp mode problem. Everything I could find said waste gate lines were the likely culprit but thank goodness no problems there. A pressure test revealed... Dun dun dun! A fucked up Y pipe. Everything else was great. It wouldn't hold any boost. Boost is back and it's sooooo glorious. I wonder if the leak would affect fuel economy much. We'll see next fill up.

Boost leaks are nasty little buggers to find on the 2.7t! It's always so satisfying when you know they're good and tight. Good work!
