just got back last night. Just in time for the Nor Easter to greet me. Awesome.

Can't wait to supply everyone with an update on the coupe, seriously. First order of business is to finish my wagon and get that out of the garage, and then I can get back on the clutch issue with the coupe.

lol, seriously this noreaster sucks, since we moved i no longer have a garage to park the car in, so we went and bought a car cover last night to cover the coupe with, we've had a max of like 6inches of snow accumulation this year, its been so nice. but we got a foot and a half last night, you cant see the car, cover, anything, just a mound of snow, and we're supposed to get another foot tonite. it'll be a blast to get that thing uncovered when it stops snowing so i can take it back to the golf course shop and do the new injectors/turbo/downpipe stuff.

8) is that from a Maserati?

yer former rocket is now ready to drive... after the next little ice storm... tuned well enough for some break in miles and then finer tuning as soon as the temp goes up into the 50's...

Nope, I cut up a few spare audi logos from the parts bins of my friend Huw Powell. The 'B' is an upside down 'Q', the 'i' is from 'Audi', and turbo was spelled using various letters from 'quattro', plus another upside down 'Q' for the 'B'.

would we expect less than a full-custom fabricated logo?

Stopped by Haydn's shop tonight to use his lathe to make up a new clutch pushrod.

I started with this:

and wound up with this:

Haydn made good progress on his v8 but I'll let him post the details in his project thread. Plasma cutters rule.. got some video of it in action cutting the tranny tunnel. I'll probably post that up tomorrow.

It did come out really nice, what Mark didnt tell ya'll was that this was No. 1 of a series of 3 in different lengths, which was a fab Idea until he broke the lathe :slap:

Actually he didnt brake it it just stopped working of its own volition. Mark and I then spent a couple of hours fighting with a switch that we shouldnt have taken apart :) The machine needs a little TLC which it hant had just yet.

This was the first usefull work the lathe has done though and I am psyched to see it being usefull, I am also pelased Mark broke it not me :)
