Do codes tell you why my power steering belt keeps ending upside down?

Perhaps next weekend. I have insurance but no registration (expired 2 months ago). Its getting tags on Friday. Im also waiting on the bumper brackets from my2000apb to arrive this week so I can get the front bumper mounted.

Ill know just exactly tomorrow how quick this thing is. When I did my pulls tonight, the CIS adjustments were way off and it was running pig rich. Like, REALLY, rich. I set the Adjustment to about 40-41% to compensate for the extra boost. 45-46% is considered normal. I did a small first gear pull in the driveway with the proper tune (to an extent) and the off boost torque is WAY better. Not as torquey as the JT but the boost kicked in at about 2k or so. Thats when all hell broke loose :)

Gave my buddy a ride tonight. The look on his face was priceless when the boost kicked in. His face was that of "HOLY SHIT!" and "OMGWTF" followed by "thats f'ing cool"

see?! what did I tell you.........LIKE A RAPED APE!!!!!!! now I know you are a big fan of the cis, but what do you think this thing would run like on a stand alone? You will now be scaring the holy shit out of whomever you take for a ride. I loved that about mine. so..... like the cam?

Yes I love the cam. The bottom end seems to have suffered a little bit and the car doesnt like to idle that much. I have idle set to about 950ish to compensate for the bigger lift. However, the mid range and top end are insane. I especially like how the K24 is already spooling at like 1600 and the torque starts kicking in. Then it just starts revving like crazy. Ive gotta stay off the power or Im gonna be changing the clutch pretty soon

And thats why I cut 20thousdanths of my head, to compensate for the low compression and bring it up a little bit.

Stock clutch will be fine pending you dont slip the shit out of it a lot. The OEM Sachs unit I had was perfect for my application.

Enjoy!

All my aftermarket things are on page 1 of the thread. Not really sure where the intercooler was made but it is pretty nice for what it is. The cam is a reground MC1 to the specs of:

.432" Lift
224 dur @ .050" lift
112 LSA

I ended up with .012" off the head. I spose as soon as everything is buttoned up, and the bpv is plumbed back into the intake, it should run 100%

Having my plumbing made this week

The cam card lol. Scubadave was the one who originally had the cam reground

ok. I was wondering how the #s came to be. Sounds like a very agressive cam.

Did you end up not using the ported head that was with the cam? I lost track early in the thread.

No I didnt. I fubared it putting the cam caps on cause I was tired and pissed off. Ended up being cheaper to just redo all the machine work on the original turbo head. I ported the heads myself, the intake and exhaust manifolds as well too I did.

I too had trouble making the thing idle worth a damn. Im just not sure the CIS engine management can compensate for the cam. when I had my car, my IAC took a crap on me so I did the most logical thing....I filled it up with the right stuff and set the idle mechanically. this meant it had to warm up for a few minutes before it would idle in any normal fashion but it worked for me at the time since I couldn't afford EFI back then. You may have a better chance at controlling the idle once and if you go EFI, plus you will be able to squeeze every ounce of power out of the motor with the stroke of a few keys to boot. I do miss my old car a fair bit cause I wasn't afraid to throw the hammer down with that one. mine got many a reaction as you have seen recently with the few passengers you have blessed with a ride. when I sold my car to my buddy, he handed the keys to a guy in this area known to be quite wealthy, and with a few cars in his stable that make most people J in their pants. The guy daily drove an Enzo for hell sakes. anyway, handed him the keys and said try to break it......dude came back with a grin from ear to ear and a big thumbs up. I thought that was the biggest compliment I could have ever gotten regarding my old car.

Yea I too noticed that it seems to idle better once warmed up. I should be able to start DD'ing it next week. Cant wait.

The cool part is there is plenty more boost to spare out of that K24. Once I get the boost gauge hooked up tonight, I'll see for sure what it's running at right now

CIS hates cams. I wouldn't worry about the idle too much right now if you are going to EFI later.

Get some vids of that wee beasty!

Just curious but does anyone have/had overheating issues at all with a setup like mine?
