Hey Matt,

Just got back from Watkin's Glen.........what a weekend. Some of the cars

Hopefully we can make this happen on Wednesday. I'll bring my scope. tools etc.

We can check everything............ Cam/Crank correlation, inputs, outputs etc.

Looks like it's going to be a fun diagnose.........hopefully we can get it sorted out. :drive:

Cheers,

Craig.

Alright ignition fixed! Seems that a common input ground, pin 30 or 36, went to nothing. They grounded that out and now it runs fine!

But now the problem is injector 5. It is duty cycling 100 percent. But only when the car is running, not with just ecu power on. They said they metered it out and is the ecu telling the injector to be on... Any ideas here? Also plugging it in seems to stall the car. I got out of school early so I'm headed to the shop now.

Seems to be. Case off vems, runs perfectly.

Shoot. I put the case back on after taking apart the ecu and it still does it! Must be making contact somewhere else... WTF

All better now.

Matt you were so close with the ecm case theory, however no dice.

It's a running perfect now. :flag:

Now go and enjoy :drive:

What a day  I'm mentally fked.

Cheers,

Craig

That doesn't sound good...

I believe dad said it was legs of fets touching. So I have to be super careful reassembling the ecu. I even put electrical tape on the case as extra protection but I if it was the fet legs it makes sense that that didn't help.

I still can't drive yet because I have a bunch of buttoning up to do. I have to reassemble the harness plug, run a ground, reassemble ecu, tighten weeping oil supply on turbo, and mount the ecu up in the footwear. And I need fuel and to change the oil.

I'm just thankful the issues are known. What a c-fak.
