Turn the boost up. That usually fixes things.

Yeah except I have no fw pin, running a 60-2 wheel up front.

60-2 wheel up front? Like on the crank pulley?

Ignoring for the moment that your cam sensor seems to be on vacation too, is your crank sensor gap OK? If it's too big, you may not get a signal.

If it's one of the crank seal jobbies, I got nuttin' for ya.

You do know that you WILL prevail.

Yeah wheel on the pulley. Thing is I had prefect trigger before swapping ecus. I'm wondering if I need to swap connectors... -g28 to g40

Did you change the ignition switch? Sounds like ECU does not have power when you are cranking??
Just reaching out there.

Still no trigger with charged battery and no dropping connection to ecu. Tested sensor and it checks out fine. Can't really troubleshoot with nothing to go on, haha.

That's a thought... I put a push button in. The key stays "on" the whole time so it should be getting continuous power. Actually I have a switch hooked up to injectors, ignition, Ecu, etc... All of the stock harness fuses that power everything. But the button is the only difference other than the ecu. The connecting doesn't drop with the battery charged though.

Could be reversed polarity... But I already went through all that bs. I guess I have to start from scratch.

Ah well, the problem is my expectations. I expected to be able to plug it in and go. If I had expected to start from scratch again I wouldn't be disappointed! :-)

Either my trigger log is not picking up primary triggers and they're there, or the car is running on secondary trigger only.

Actually it only ever picks up one secondary trigger... If I leave it sit for a minute and then crank it. It picks up the first one and that's it, yet the sparks are just a flying from the plugs. iuno

Misfire when on boost. Spring pressure only for now (11psi). When I hit 11 I get BANG! I think I had shit fuel in from Carlisle so I filled up with 94. Did as good a break in as I could, on and off throttle and boost /vacuum. Lambda looks perfect so I know it's not a rich misfire. I'm guessing either plugs or bad fuel. In the log the ve just drops from 96 to 35.

I'm almost back to a love/hate relationship, but I'm still bitter.

Oh, and took a triggerlog... I have primary trigger now (wtfffff)

Take the trigger for what it is and don't ask questions. :P Nice to be back in the saddle?

awesome that the car is back up and running (was I right regarding sj7 needing to be unshorted?). Send a datalog, ve shouldn't jump like that unless the boost also drops to cause the VE change.

So I figured out that it's actually rpm based Backfire. Right at 5k, I can do it at idle although not as bad. My first thought was launch control but it's all disabled. Got new plugs after soaking the current ones in acid didn't fix it. Not as bad but still something funny is going in at 5k. I have a log but won't be able to post it until tonight.

It's clearly something to do with ignition not working because I get a huge black puff of smoke when it happens.

log. haven't driven it again since. it really needs to be "driven"... go half way in anything and it punishes you. be decisive and be rewarded :)

just had a brain fart. my wideband probably needs to be calibrated... i wonder if it IS a rich misfire. shoot. plugs did look more black than expected.

Are you intending to use knock sensing?
