Just make sure you get everything working 100% before going batty :). I didnt chip mine before I sorted out the fault codes/few wiring issues. Just some BTDT.

DO IT!

Just a little btdt, I ran 450 and 500lb coilovers in my 4kqt and the ride wasnt all that rock hard bad. It was no Cadillac, but not a uncomfortable ride either, so those springs will be nowhere near what you fear. I think you will be trading them out in no time for something stiffer and controllable. Body roll sucks in these and is your performance killer. You will never get it to stop pushing without some medium stiff springs and super swaybars. You cannot expect the sways to do all the work cause they wont. Medium springs(h&r's at least), the sways you have already may be enough, or switch to B4 front end which is stiffer and mo betta. Make some strut tower braces! These cars flex like crazy and cause lots of your issues. Run some koni's or some bilstines. Stock struts wont do it, period.

And some advice if you want to take these cars on long hauls a time or two in the near future, get the cruise control working or your right leg will be hating life, trust me. I did vegas a couple times among a few other places, i wish i got mine working but never did. It really is a must.

Im interested in hearing how you like the cam after you drive it for a while. It only cost me 80 bucks to regrind that puppy. I liked it, it felt good and made good power.

Nice call on the cruise. Its pretty easy to get working. I had forgotten a connection at the back of the cluster on mine, but that was the only issue.

My cruise is all hooked up. I just need the rod that attaches from the vacuum diaphragm to the TB. It needs to come off a 5k.

Ive got T44 HD Bilsteins in the front and HD 4kq Bilsteins in the rear. I already felt a huge difference. Im sure eventually I will go with coils but not in the near future.

WOW! That thing sounds like that cam is pretty big. Hope the alignment stuff gets worked out for ya without them telling you to never come back. Just for reference, my suspension setup...400lb springs front and rear, koni adjustables front and rear, no front swaybar, rear sway bar is a front 4kq. It seems to have just a little push when on-throttle through a corner if a wheel doesnt break loose which happens alot in second gear, and it has a little oversteer when off-throttle in a corner. This is how i understood you really want a car to be for the most part because it makes it easier to control the car with the throttle.

It is a

.432" lift
224* @ .050"
112 LSA

So 2* more duration and considerable more lift. Also, I think factory LSA is 114

Car is aligned. Shop said there was still a little too much camber on the front wheels but only because they couldn't adjust it. I used the original URq balljoints so they're fixed in there. Either way I'm getting the car tonight

Got the car back. Handles much nicer now that the suspension is buttoned up. I found the source for the missing. Sprayed some carb cleaner near the intake that goes from the igloo to turbo. Sure enough the idle picked up. Now here is another question. The missing cleared up a little when I readjusted the intake tube but here is what is weirding me out. I am getting overboost cutoff. It happens the same with either ecm. I thought the ben swann chip eliminated that? Im getting a new intake tube tomorrow

Oh, which wire sends the coolant temperature reading to the instrument cluster?

Just be prepared to spend quite a bit of time on it. It wont take 6-7 months like me but then again, I did a LOT more than just an engine swap

His website says it raises the overboost protection to 1.95 bar. Are you possibly hitting that? or is it still hitting cutoff at 1.5 bar?

Its hitting is easily at like 1.5. Im thinking I need to relay the pump

Top sensor at the front coolant neck on the JT/KX is for the gauge. Not sure where you may have put it on your car :)

What wastegate spring are you running? Did you replace the wastegate diaphram? BTDT when the diaphram took a shit.

The diaphragm is fresh. It is a 1.8 BAR spring with adjustable mod

1.8bar spring with a 2.0bar chip? May be your problem? FWIW I ran a 2bar spring with a QLCC (1.8 maybe?) chip. Never an issue with fuel cut out and I never got around to relaying the pump in the back.

Weird. Ill have to play with it more tomorrow. It might be because of the intake leak and the possibly detonatiom due to improper fuel/air balance

reguarding fuel cut. Does it feel like it hits a brick wall? Or just like it starts to buck and cut out?

It hits a brick wall. It feels like the rev limiter in my truck (which has since been eliminated). It aint starving for fuel and there is plenty of power left.

I did some research and I believe I hve the wgfv hooked up wrong too. Im verifying in the morning as this my be the source of the cutout
