Re: Murcielago 4.2 Swap
So I printed out and laminated the wiring diagrams so hopefully I canget them all figured out. I didn't know I needed another O2 sensor so I need to order a WBO2 (LSU 4.2). Still just trying to figure the system out. I see no inputs for power on the adapter harness that Marc made so it has to come off one of those wires mentioned above. I know Marc is busy so hopefully he will have time to email me back. I just don't want to go hooking things up and mess up anything.

Re: Murcielago 4.2 Swap
Finally traced a few wires enough to locate a couple hot wires that needed to be connected to the harness to power up the VEMS. Got the engine turned over but no readings changed on the laptop. Need to read up more on what I need to look for.

Re: Murcielago 4.2 Swap
alright, so you're pretty close by the looks.
sensor readings look fine. first things first is to see if you are getting any triggering. what you are looking for is if the rpm gauge moves while cranking. note that voltage can swing quite a bit and it might drop comm with the laptop while cranking so you might not see it. other way to tell is if you are getting spark or fuel while cranking.
if you dont have triggering at all, start there, might be some issues at the sensor, but if it was running before that tells me the polarity might be backwards (which would be my fault, but its easy to fix in the harness on your end without shipping anything).
I'll try and get back to your email later today.
bottom line though, if you had it running with the stock ecu you pretty much have all the wiring already done that is necessary for it to run on the vems.

Re: Murcielago 4.2 Swap
Thanks Marc! Know your super busy im trying to figure out everything. Here is the video I took just now don't know what I'm looking at really. Noticed the rpm guage isn't moving and neither is the TPS when I move the throttle (not sure if it's supposed too). Hopefully the video will tell if things are ok. The fuel pump isn't hooked up yet had to order some fittings that will be here this week.

Re: Murcielago 4.2 Swap
yeah, I didn't see any crank movement, but you should see TPS, that wiring is all pretty straight forward and I did test that prior to shipping on my abz test car so I know that part of my adapter harness is 100%. check your connections, make sure the tps is plugged in, etc.
so, some run down on how to take logs for me.
a 'standard' vemslog is recorded by clicking the red 'LOG' icon at the top of the screen. you'll see it turn green. while its green, you're logging. when you are done, click it again, it'll turn red. there will then be a log file in your VEMS_FILES directory with a '.vemslog' extension.
to see whats up with your triggering, try capturing a triggerlog via tools->record triggerlog. with that screen open, crank the car over. you should see some blue and white lines if everything is working right. even if its not working right you should see 'something'. when you click 'stop v3' a .triggerlog is saved in that same VEMS_FILES directory. you can send me those files for review.

Re: Murcielago 4.2 Swap
Ok found a wire unplugged, it was the wire going to the alternator and now I have TPS and a few other things I didn't have before. I got my fuel pump hooked up and running (just ran strait to the battery until I can figure out how to get the VEMS to run it. Here are some cranking videos.

Here is a quick snap of the recorded trigger log. If it's easier I can email it to you. I don't really know what im looking at, im going to also continue reading up. Lots of different things to research on this!

I want the .triggerlog file that was generated in your vems_files directory. send me that.

Re: Murcielago 4.2 Swap
So Marc and I have been at it all day via emailing back and forth trying to get this thing going... We're getting really close timing is still kicking my rear but we have fire and fuel! If I can just get them to hit at the correct time. Made this little video.
