I can't remember the exact size, somewhere around 6'' but they go in the rear panel underneath the window. There is a little storage compartment and right above it there are the holes
Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.
Hrmmm, sounds like its going to take some work to get some decent tunes to work in the stock places on the CQ...

Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.

Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.
no prob. i have a cq i am breaking down. if i have time my next trip home i will pull the panels and get pics of that car, since i wont have to reinstall. i helped the orignal owner install the speakers. they too fit without mods, tho i dont recall what the speakers where.
Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.
Sounds good to me, id appreciate it. Eventually though, ill just take the speaker stuff apart myself to see whats underneath. But if i can get a head start at how to dive in without hitting my head on the bottom of the pool, ill take it.
Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.

On that last pic, the bomb looks original and it obviously needs the feed line replaced (it's just a piece of flexible metric hose) as it is leaking and weeping Pentosin onto the body of the bomb.
As you can see, the door is pushed in below the beltline, but there is only a little tiny buckle on the frame rail (door sill) that a half hour with a mallet and a 2x4 could push down - then you can mount up the new door.

Is that in your driveway or still in Steve's?
Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.

when i get those im going to head down there to install. Im still trying to hurry up my disability check so i can pay Steve.

Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.
Forgot to mention that Steve had puchased a few parts from someone on this board. I forgot who. He got the front door panels and he also scored a Black door panel from a CQ in San Antonio at the pick and pull.
Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.
WHat is the LOWEST offset with the widest wheels i can run on a cq? what about tire size at stock height? with a 17 and or an 18" wheel?
Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.
Got my New seat in the mail yesterday!

Re: 1990 Coupe -hopefully in December/January Time frame.

Re: 1990 CQ --- project: still waiting
for the speakers i replaced the fronts and tossed a sub in the trunk and it made a huge difference, i eventually got some boston separates that bolted directly in and just had to tuck away the crossover and run wiring for it but took it out since it really made no difference.

Shayne (secretagentman) is parting out a white coupe, He may have a good door for you. Send him a PM he doesn't get on here as often as the rest of us addicts
Re: 1990 CQ --- project: still waiting
So I just need front speakers really? Remember what size the speakers are? I am wondering of a small amp and a couple speakers would do the car well. Doesn't need anything crazy.

Re: 1990 CQ --- project: still waiting
4inch, just get a decent head unit and you dont need an amp for speakers that small, if the woffers in the back are blown just disconnect them and run the tweeters, you do need a sub tho
Re: 1990 CQ --- project: still waiting
I have a set 6.5" audiobahn speakers and 6x9" audiobahn speakers. Then a 300 watt amp.
