"Well There's your problem!"

when the stepper chip exploded it burned up the power input trace to it, which runs right to the ecu power supply junction. I'll get it fixed up and back out to you today.

I don't know... strangely, I think the only remotely in-focus picture I think I've seen from you is this one:

Maybe your focus is just better after a few beers :D

OK, uh... back on topic!

Yep, Marcs got it handled and it should be making the journey back to me starting today. Marc also put in a lower resistor for the tach driver so my tach should work :)

A little update. Worked ove the weekend to get my wiring cleaned up and off the floorboard. Then put my guage cluster cover and dash bezel on. While I was at it I decided to play around a little and installed a corrado steering wheel that I had. Just used a factory late model mk2 jetta steering wheel adapter that changes the splines on the column from the small ones to the big ones. Had to cut the adapter in half so it would slide on far enought to allow the steering wheel to go on far enough so the turn signal cancel and horn contact work. Looks a lot better now(like a real 4k ;) ).

Now all thats left to do is put on the kick panel on the lower passenger side and the driver side knee panel and the interior is done with the exception of a good cleaning.

Not slacking, just too busy driving the dang thing to care about wiring or missing panels and covers ;)

Matt, you cant have my brown leather! LOL. I find it weird that someone optioned my car with brown leather interior and the trip computer but not heated seats. what gives?

PS, that steering wheel completely transformed the feel of the car. Its soooooo much better now. Much easier to grip, slightly smaller diameter makes steering a little more direct/faster, and it sticks out towards me about 1 inch further which makes it more comfortable. Highly recommend it to anyone with a factory steering wheel.

I absolutely LOVE the factory g60 wheel that you have. By far my favorite OEM vw wheel.

I think my next project audi will be a v8 4000 - something so damn raw about all of this. Absolutely epic man.

Thanks magellan. Its a fun car, but it could use alittle more power now. I'd like to find a good deal on a S8 engine to swap in. 50 more HP's would be nice.

They look good. Time for a supercharger now right?

A supercharger has been suggested to me already, but Id much rather just throw in an S8 engine. I think 360 hp would be good enough for a while. If i could find a good one for 2g's id probably go for it.

Heres an update for yall. The car is in/on its way to its new home for rebuild by the skilled hands of the man known as Derracuda. There is an S8 engine awaiting transplant and possibly some other parts too. Heres some pics of the departure...
