Nice to see it running again. Little tuning and working bugs out and this should be a monster of a ride.

I really, really tried to get a driving video for you guys today! I drove the car about 15-20 miles back from the shop while being very careful with the shifts so I couldn't pop it out again. Then when I got home, I put it in reverse and it popped out. I guess the ball/socket connection is just old. It seems that the only solution is a new one.

This is what you get instead:

I think I only hit about 10 psi, but the car is quick even at that kind of low boost and about 5k RPM. The sounds in that video clip don't compare at all to how it sounds when it actually gets in boost.

OK opinion time...

since my shift linkage keeps popping off of the shifter ball thing every time I put it in reverse, would a brand new one solve the issue or did I just adjust it wrongly? I'm 99% sure I put it back together the way it came out because it was marked and everything. I can get under the car and pop it back on easily with one hand... seems way too easy to me.

You should not be able to pop it on and off by hand, it sounds like it is time for a new bushing.

How would one put it back on with a new bushing in it while the trans is in the car? It isn't exactly easy to get to, but maybe I could get something in there to kinda press it on?

If you can remove that section of the linkage from the car it'll be possible.
Pretty impossible with it in the car. Just as a heads up.

:stupid: The bushing is held in place by tabs that get bent over to "capture" the bushing. Without removing the linkage its going to be very hard to bend the tabs back so the bushing can be removed.

You could order the sort shifter assembly from apikol that has the bushing installed already

I meant how hard is it going to be to push the bushing/linkage assembly onto the ball with the trans in the car. I'm pretty sure I can get the linkage out with the trans in so I can push the bushing into the linkage. It's the other part I'm worried about.

Also, I'm pretty sure I ruined the brake light switch when I did the vac assist install because my brake lights aren't working anymore. I guess you can't let the plunger become all the way out.

I have popped those linkages on with the trans in the car with a long angled prybar. It sucked..

Thanks Cary, that sounds like something I might be able to do. I popped it back on today to get some vids. It popped right back off when I pulled back in the driveway. Brake booster hose popped off too lol. You'll see in the vid.

Here are the videos. I haven't even looked at the logs yet, but it was going super rich at first which made it seem lean. I was also hitting boost cut or the spark was getting blown out by the rich mix, not sure which **edit** confirmed in logs that I was at 20 psi, so boost cut it is :) ** In the second video, you can really hear whatever is wrong with something in my shifter area and my brake booster line blows off (guess I forgot to use a hose clamp). I did fix my front end clunk though which was just a loose strut.

So the list of things to fix is shift linkage, brake light switch, and wastegate. Then its off to Saudi for me and NH for this car!
