No problem Marc, I just did it cause I want a ride :woowoo:

Good Deal. I guess snap-on doesnt make M22x2.0, he wanted me to double check with you to make sure it wasn't 7/8-14, but looks like you have the problem figured out.

Alright, I spent another day at the shop yesterday. The main goal was to get the oil bypass adapter threaded on. I ended up re-threading the oil union for 22x1.5mm thread.

Image

To do this, I built a tool to grab the die from the bottom so I could spin it with a socket and 3/8 ratchet. Worked like a charm:

eventually, I finally got the adapter on there

The manifolds also came along. Purdy, aren't they??

And a quick test-fit shot on the radiator

Coming soon hopefully! There are still plenty of odds and ends to work on, but I really want to get those turbos plumbed in so I'm 100% sure where everything is going to sit in the engine bay.

Marc, When you rethreaded the bypass adaptor, what was the thread pitch to start out? I'm kinda curious if its going to seal properly, everytime i try to rethread something to a different pitch, it never goes well. I hate having to go back in to fix stupid shit like that.

It seems quite strong. I've got it threaded on pretty tight. Obviously I haven't run the car to check for leaks but I dont anticipate a problem.

Yep, I think thats the first v8tt swap I'd ever heard of. Custom intake manifold is definitely the way to go... That'll be part of 'v2' for my car.

more parts arrived while I was away in Montreal. Turbos are here :woowoo:

And I decided I wanted to use all instant tube fittings from mcmaster for the vacuum lines on the car. I like the nice positive locking on the fittings and the ease of assembly/dissasembly.

I'll be flying into Dallas on Wednesday and wont be back until Sunday so that sorta shoots this weekend for working on the car. Sucks, cause' I cant wait to start making some serious progress now that most of the pieces are here :-D

alriiiight, update. Haven't been in the garage for 2 weeks, back at it this weekend for some proress!

Had to do a little tweaking on the exhaust manifolds, here's the angle I started with:

Image

and this is where it ultimately needed to be:

Image

So turbos are now hooked up :woowoo:

passenger side (notice funky WG orientation, had to modify the WG bracket a bit

Image

Image

drivers side:

Image

60# fuel injectors installed. That should be good enough for some powah

Image

had a little issue with the flare on the fuel supply side, had to re-do that to fix a leak

Image

Comin' together :)

Image

And a random bit, Dennis and Keleigh welcome these two new additions to their family

Image

Tomorrow: downpipes, finish remote mount oil filter, and maybe... test fire? :-D
