Spent a good amount of time bolting it onto the bell housing... Had to cut this off we I had totally forgotten that UrS blocks need this dowlpin removed in order to mate up to the 6speed 01e...

Not yet... I did pick these up locally in the meantime along with a rubber snub to compare...

Man that's an ugly goopjob. How many bevs did Mage have before slathering those things together? Maybe not enough.

Actually I needta talk to him, I might do some Bimmer subframe bushings that have cavities and was thinkin of doing the SlaterMount/MageMount/AnybodyElseMount trick to 'em....

haha fukhed.

The only improvement on this design would be if I had a welder capable of welding a face plate to completely lock in the rubber. Good news is those were wire brushed, and set with 3 separate layers over a period of 96 hours. The beautiful tinsel gloss is a nice 3M paint that is washable and will protect the actual 3M window weld through the snow and salt.

Run some neoprene/rubber washers under the nuts for silky idles!

but yeah... I was drinking.

One thing that's a must was to use 1" bolts as opposed to the supplied 3/4" that come with the mount...

Please let Mage ride shotgun in the RanchoWagon... He's lost some major mojo... Doesn't even drive his car on weekends... Leaves the doors open and trunk with parts and love notes... He's in a funk man... Maybe with the help of Motronic Launch Control, it's possible to save him (and the car...)..

Yes.... as we talked about on the phone... your dampener looks fine.. it is the "J", the holes on the face are closer together (what I noticed when I was standing in my garage at 11pm looking at the front of the car dumbfounded). The "H" holes are oriented differently. The "J" requires the washer.

notice how your serp tensioner when in the locked position isn't interfered with by the outer lip of the dampener... that means you have the washer back there (I assume so anyway). If you installed a "J" dampener without the washer you would find that the tensioner would be touching the outer lip of the dampener.

Ask me how I know all this ;)

lol I broke mine too by turning the motor over by hand without torquing it. I dont think the key way is meant to handle any load what so ever.....its purley there for locating it. My car survived the dyno without a proper keyway in it anyways. But im still looking for a replacement....

Bah, that's no good...but at least you have the replacement there, and it looks like the cam is ok...just a speedbump!

It looks like the adjustable cam gear has no key way, is that correct?
