Whats the going price Jim? My dad damaged my perfectly good hood. Looks like I could use one maybe....at his cost.

Alright! After being beaten up and ridiculed by Jim and Ed and all those who practically molesterd me into giving in, I gave in to the high scool style peer pressure and bought one of Chris's carbon fiber hoods. Ive been bullied!

In considering the possibility that I'll 1. Be at BBQ and 2. Get a CF hood, I've decided that I'd find a B3 hood to leave in vegas (I have 2).

I for one may take a pre trip down to get the pick of the litter seeing as everybody else wants to wait till October. so I will burn a bit more gas, seems like a good trade off.

lol I wonder how long it takes to ship, does not sound like they'll be created till late Aug.
Another option could be rigging up some sort of fabric tonneau cover for a hood lol

I have a feeling there will be a lot of B4 hoods for sale at the BBQ! Mine included if the car makes it down there

I think its hilarious that everybody assumes Hank will be happy to take their hood off their hands in October. honestly, I would want to have my hood on hand in case the CF hood gets damaged and can't be run. but that's just me.

Yeah...maybe I should just drive down without one. Or fine a B3 for cheap to drive down there with and scrap when I put the CF on. That way I have the metal B4 at home as a spare.

somebody needs to but 2 of them together on their roof sideways and another one upside down on their trunk to see if they get enough lift to fly home.

Vegas is a big place, I'm sure I can find a home for a B3 hood.

I made a heat shield out of a diff part I had in my tool box. I never throw away good usable parts that could be repurposed. Yes, I have a whole drawer full of stuff like that...and a few other boxes...and another drawer. I cant seem to throw it out.
Anyway, this is what I came up with. I hope it deflects the heat like I want.

So, this is how far back in the motor is. Stabbed it saturday. Spending about 4 hrs a day at times working on it. I cant wait to fire it up again. Why do I love my car so much?

Cut circle ~2" larger than mount OD, snip ~1" radial tabs x~24, bend tabs 90°.
