The best feeling in the world is wiping the smirk off Corvette/Mustang/Civic owners faces as you obliterate them in a 20y/o Audi. :foff:

Those 3 above mentioned cars are becoming harder to hang with around these parts...

I agree there's alot of people by us too that make some serious HP.

^^Especially the newer Corvettes w/ +600HP from factory... The older C5s, however, are another story. :D

Nick mentioned in his build that hes not looking for a set ET to run more of a MPH goal, most guys by us want to run 40-50 rolls and up. I'm thinking that if we hit our goal of 135-140+ in the 1/4 most cars will have a hell of a time trying to keep up. And as stated before its even better beating them in a 20yr old Audi.

Great build!

Just curious, what kind of torques is the HTA Super 97 putting down? Wondering because Oleg at CN told me that their ferrametallic 6puck would take about 600#.

Neither of us have been on a dyno yet so that is unknown, though the turbo is large. Like 950awhp large, if pushed (on other applications). Not sure exactly how it will pan out on our I5's though I have high hopes for very good power.

I am running the CN Red/6 puck, so I'll let you know how well that holds up to the Super 94.

Are you guys worried that most cars with that turbo make peak torque over 6500 rpm?

I know it's not a big deal with the dsm and evo guys because they rev to 9k+ and their heads flow enough for a small block Chevy haha

I'm not to worried about it as of yet, The heads we are building will be able to be reved to 8500+ safely. I wanted to do an HTA3586 but after doing the research and talking with Hank we'd be maxing that turbo out. As much as I say i want a certian trap speed im holding in the fact i want 700+ whp lol. The super will see full spool around 48-5100, With the little more Tq the 5cyls make over Evos and other DSMs. Reving to 8500+ I think that powerband will be unreal from full spool to redline.

Sweet  I'm excited for your guys' builds. Can't wait to see how this turbo performs on 5 zylinder. If you get full boost by 48-5100 sign me up! Also a good priced turbo.

The price is the exact reason i didnt go into the Hta37xx series, The super makes 65hp more at the same boost and was 400$ cheaper :foff:

Hey Guys, I havent updated my thread in a little bit so I thought id bring it up to speed with a few upadates. Ive recently decided to change the turbo I was planning (super 94) on running with the new release of the FP 6466 :). Earlier spool and still flows enough to reach my goals. Installed some Euro Tails from a trade I made with a guy in the UK. Heres some updated pics.

Has FP already fitted this on a car?

From what I know no, Hank was the one who reached out to me saying it was available and that we should try it. My super took 12 weeks to get shipped so we did a nice swap. Vband housing and Hank thinks it will see full boost around 45-4600.

So what are you going to do for axles?

why are you stressing axles between his and nicks projects? they will run what they run, and replace when necessary...

My guess Matt's wondering because it's a known issue when you start running higher power levels, like >400awhp.

I opted for 4kq diff flanges and run OE 100mm axles, so that if I do pop one I can go to any FLAPS and get a replacement off the shelf vs. sourcing custom axles or 30+ yr old ones from a 4kq.

Just a guess though.
