Oh these came in a while ago too. An order I got from 034. Just didn't even bother to post it up since they are just sitting until I do some other work to it.
Image

Injectors came back from Fuel Injector Clinic from being tested and cleaned and all tested great. Sucks because I don't think I'll be using them haha. Probably going to have larger ones on her before I fire her up.
Image

Dropped the head off to get some work done. Clean and inspect, 3 angle valve job, deck if needed and valve guides if needed. Oh and all new exhaust manifold studs and drill out two water manifold bolts and two exhaust manifold studs. About to get some 7a cams from a forum member on here also.

Just been cleaning the engine bay and parts. Have stripped the outside of the block and treated it with por-15 (well the first two parts: marine clean and metal ready). It has been sprayed gloss black. Need to clean ALOT under the brake master cylinder area its disgusting there so much gunked up oil from the PS system.

Anyway just got some stuff I sandblasted quick on my lunch today. I really do enjoy having access to a sandblaster.

About to place another big order of stuff from 034 as well. Weeee,

Nice! Always a good feeling taking crusty parts and making them shine

Haha yup and a lot of the inspiration actually came from your thread! Started off with just maintenance and kept tearing and tearing apart until I realized just to do it all and I'll be happier in the long run.

Haha oh I agree. Do you know if the rear doors and side skirts are different by any chance?

Like I said its a slippery slop of "while I'm in there, I might as well...". But yeah your doing it right and you'll be happier in the long run.

Didn't wanna make a thread for it since I don't want it to be a project thread. But picked up a twin of this car essentially. To have as a daily driver. Since my jeep gets horrible MPG and its not fun at all to drive. Still lago blue but with black interior, slightly higher miles but the body and car is in much better shape than what I bought the other one for.

Just going to do a timing belt service on it and drive it. Most it will get is a ECU tune and downpipe back exhaust.

New shipment of parts came in

The cars lined up. B5 future v8 car sitting waiting for the 200 to finish so I can start on her.

Just waiting for my head to come back so I can start to re-assemble...getting impatient. Shop has had it for over 4 weeks now.

Went to pull my oil pan today with the block and tranny still in the car. That was fun I don't think I've ever seen an oil pan with more bolts. Got everything out except for the 3 6mm allen bolts, they stripped (and only the 6mm all the 5mm came out fine). Ugh sooo I'll be having fun with those probably tomorrow so I can pop it off.

I'm popping off the oil pan to 1) do the gasket, 2) to sandblast and paint it, and 3) more importantly to install the IE rods I ordered for it :). Pulled the trigger on some. Also ordered coated rod bearings and OEM piston rings.

Did the timing belt/water pump, crank seal, cam seal, and a full tune up on the twin car. I have been daily driving it and love it.

Finally got the oil pan off. Always nice to find this. At least I pulled it off so I can remove all of this. Assuming it is pieces of the oil dipstick. I checked the oil pickup and there was nothing in there obstructing it so that is good.

Looks like maybe it's parts of a disintegrated camshaft splash guard (located at the oil cap opening beneath the valve cover).

Or the plastic shield on the oil pickup

Definitely the camshaft oil deflector. The 20v doesn't have a plastic baffle on the pickup tube like the 20v does.
I wonder in the metal one from a V8 would fit?

My camshaft oil deflector was intact when removed. Actually I cracked it when I dropped it removing the valve cover. Made a thread about it.

More shiny parts!

Sandblasted and painted some more stuff. Got my cylinder head back too. Just waiting on my rods, bearings, and rings and I will start to put her back together :). Still need some more parts though to finish her (IC, ECU, clutch, and other shit I am probably forgetting as always).

And the cylinder head.

Ended up pulling my block. Didn't plan on it but I didn't want to half ass anything. Found a good local machine shop to take care of what I want. Soooo might as well.

Threw the block in the trunk of my other 200 to bring to the shop tomorrow.

So I decided to part out/scrap this car and basically put the built engine I am building into the newer one I picked up which has been my daily driver. Soooo yeah no real update. Just taking my time with the motor build and probably going to go a little bit bigger as far as power goals with it since it's not a rush anymore.

Only thing changing is the interior color :D

Does it still have the hose that runs from the hydraulic pump to the steering rack? Mine needs one as the current one has a slow leak in it...

Bye bye car.

Image

Image
Was pushing her up the trailer in the jeep and the lifted jeep got a little overzealous and went up the hood, i stopped right away and sad my old baby was getting beat up.
Image
And off she goes!

She was angry, she wouldn't go out without causing some damage.
Image
Tow strap snapped while the jeep was pulling her up the trailer. Flew back and smashed my rear window, glass everywhere. I was turned around and only hit my cheek luckily none in my eye a lot made it all over the dash.
Image
Aaaaand pulling the UFO spindles I dropped one on my phone.

Good: I have 0 dollar deductible for glass, and I was eligible for a new iphone, I have insurance, and have been talking about getting the 5, so really no biiiiiig loss.

Bad: Jeep window doesn't get replaced until tomorrow and it is suppose to rain tonight.
Image
Photo taken with new iphone5, you can see the difference with the new 8mp camera from the old photos. ooOOooo
