So basically you will be caught up with me by the end of the day! :( It's looking good. I wish I would have had a quick ratio rack to put in when I was going back together. Oh well!!

Quicken it under the dash like I did. The urq column lends itself nicely to the Coleman unit. With a good welder it is a couple hour job. Before my ratio was about 2.25 turns, and I didn't even notice it after a week. You get used to it quickly untill you step into a non quickening car and tjen the wheel feels like your grandmas Mercedes.

Cool thing abouy the Coleman is that you can swap out the gears to go to 1.5 turns for those autocross or tight tracks. I must warn, Audi club instrutors yap about keeping your hands steady in the corner. Lol

Do you have a link to the Coleman unit?

Let me know when you are ready for the wiring harness. I'll be happy to help.

I guess the harassment from your wife about how late you slept in struck a nerve. Did you watch the sunrise? :D

You know me by now don't you? I buy new parts and then let them age on the shelf till they reach their peak potential before actually installing them.

Pressure washed the front suspension and 6 speed.

Regreased all the sphericals and bearings for the strut tops and slid in the subfrane. I wanted to rotate my arms and make custom tie rods bit myn aluminum stock I bought wasn't the right length..

Hank,

What is the P/N for this rack?

Thanks,

For 86$ new plus shipping, I will make a fabricated one that accepts a more traditional pressure release instead of the BS VAG ones that release at 102C sometimes and 120C other times... Nothing pisses you off more than a cap coming off on a nicely detailed bay! I did research some plastic primer that the black should then grab onto. Like you said, I culdn't see into the brown/orange container, so I guess the black wouldn't be a big deal.

I was looking for a B2 reservoir a few days ago and that came up to be a hard task. B3 and B4 resevoir should be the same ( at least from what I have seen with the european market).

they are close...mounting seems a little different between them...b3 has tabs to mount carbon canister to it for instance...

I have at least 5 of the early B2 tanks in my stock, all used though so no perfection, if someone wants originality I can supply.
The later B2 tanks are differnt and B3 still more not to mention B4 is yet again completely diffetent. None interchangable, at least not without mods to mounting brackets on the body.

If I had more time I would have tracked down. B3 res and welded in new brackets before paint, but I was running out of time at the booth. I can make something in aluminum that will be sexy and allow for a better cap.

Not much got done today, as I am a bit under the weather, but I did make adapters to fit a 35r tial housing on a 42r tial flange. I wanted to do this so I could easily swap in a 1000whp turbo if I wanted too.

Looks like you've already made up your mind. 8) Will a 42r fit under the hood in the present configuration?

As you know, the jig is fixed to the collector, not the flange. By choking down the 42r inlet down on the flange, I get about 2" worth of space towards the engine and down. With this, the centerline of the shafts of the two turbos are almost identical, with the 42r still being closer to the engine centerline wise. Now the turbo is bigger in diamter(especially on the coldside) but the overall diameter is about 4" bigger in total size. The radius is what is important for fitment, and yes, there is enough room for the 42r.

There is room, but not with the old header which is already sold anyhow. Build a new header with the outlet centerline lower to take care of the larger diameter coldside?

Yes, pretty much. The center line radius of the 3582r is 76.2mm and 108mm on the 4294r. That is a difference of about 30mm or about 1.15". I am easily getting that back from lowering the flange from the choke down on the collector in closer to the head and lower in the car.
