Jim that looks really cool. I'll be interested to hear how the car is running once you break the engine in and dial in the boost. Awesome work!!
Man it looks like I'm going to have to 034 my urq once the restoration is complete. A chipped S4 engine doesn't seem to have the same bling as it used to.
How is the power steering working??

Cheers,

Craig Cook.

Hmm, by my super rudamentary logic 5+5+5+8+10/5=6.6% blowby X say 750bhp=49.5hp worth of gases coming out the breather system. The gas flow numbers get pretty crazy at the insano HP levels :D

Maybe Javad can call his Speed Channel connections and get Jim an all expense paid trip to Toronto to get the Ginster Monster on that dyno segment of Sports Car Revolution with the ultra-hot blonde???

I know it would fit my definition of good TV!

Yea, Javad, start calling in favors. We should see your car on that dyno.

Thanks,
The power steering works great. I think I'm going to hook up a relay that kills power durring cranking, and is only on when there's oil pressure in the motor. That way it's not runnig with just the ign on.

Good idea, or, you could trigger it off an 034 GPO above say 300rpm as well 8)

Ahh yes, didn't even think about that. :slap: That's what I'll probably do.

I would like to see screen shots of the fuel map and other 034 settings you settle on before you crank up the boost past 22psi...

that would be helpful here... feel like my tune is still too rich and/or timing retarded too much since I swapped in your old injectors... :? think there's more HP in there a few keystrokes away

BTW keep staring at the pics above & can't get over how clean and thorough you were with the recent upgrade... awesome work and lots of heat management goodies that are not yet in my car...

Thanks! This was the project to end all projects under the hood. I took advantage of the garage while I had it so I did it right the first time.

As far as posting my files, you wouldn't be able to make heads or tails out of them right now. The 4 bar map sensor changes everything! Trust me, invest in a good WB that you can log with and you'll get it tuned right in a few min.

Guess I should bone up on the Zeitronix that came with the car! I've done some logging from 034 but not the zeitronix yet...

I was not thinking of copying your map cell for cell, but the only actual maps from a running car I've laid my eyes on are mine (obviously)... and the one in the unit when Marc delivered it to me... I feel like I jumped in at the steep end of the learning curve (not to be confused with complaining) buying a completed swap/034efi install

maybe i'm visually oriented idiot savant (or just idiot) all the 034 manuals just show 1's across the maps... thinking on theoretical level that I might learn something from seeing how the fuel map on a well-tuned car looks with someone else's real numbers in place, as well as the other screens/values...

just never see the "actual working numbers" posted here on MG...

sorry for being so long-winded but I guess I'm on topic :o

Yes, use it damnit! I find having the boost and rpm logging hooked up really helps.

Here's some more pics.

I added the top radiator shroud. This should keep Josh happy since it completely hides the water injection.

Jim I dont know if this really matters now but what I did was cut a circle in my fender wall and ran 3" Pipe on the outside of the frame rail rather than the inside like yourself.

That's not going to happen with this header and the RS2 lights. I barely fit this in there, going to the outside was not an option. I had it going to the outside with the 20vt setup, but I actualy like this much better. This is a HUGE air filter and it never really fit well on the other side.

AND this is it, I swear!

Until I get a garage where I can accumulate parts that is

Anyone want to guess how these dents got in my hood?

Hint: There were sparks coming out of the hood vent when it happened. 8)

Oh man, what happened, I have a dent just like that but mine was from running the car with no snub mount  .

Seriously what happened?

which side of the hood is that? if its the passenger side, then it looks like maybe the wastegate bolt hit it perhaps?
