No chunking. The outers cupped a bit after the first day at spring mtn, but I put all of that on learning lines, and pushing a few of hte corners very hard. The second day was much better, and it take but 3 or 4 clutch drops to get them round again

Eesh I don't know if I'd want a guy in my car if he can hardly stop tossing his banana.

Good to hear! If I can save $100 that is always nice. The Tirerack reviews are mixed. Looking at the Sumitomo HTR Z-III also. Of course I am tempted to find some used R tires and just daily something like a Conti DWS.

Nothing can replace R-comps, but it is hard to beat the Nitto NT-05 for a dual use economical summer tire. They are as sticky as R-comps for the first 10-15 min, but get greasy when hot like any street tire so you can't over-drive them. They also do great in the rain, we were doing 75+ in a down poor on the way home with no issues.

Hello 39psi, so nice of you to make it for the dyno on Saturday.

Changed Intercoolers after I noticed that I was getting an outrageous 6-7psi pressure drop across it at only 35psi. I am pretty impressed actually that it made 500whp to be honest. Now i have basically the same size core, just almost twice as deep at 3". It is a TIGHT fit, with about 3/8" of clearance, but with the motor solid mounted these days, I don't anticipate a problem.
It is nice to have a better core in there. cooling takes place much faster and response has increased a bunch.
I'll post some vids tomorrow.

Latest revisions.. I have always like Jims routing off the turbo into the IC. IT cuts out about 12" of plumbing, plus a couple of bends. It also makes it faster to remove the turbo, and also it is easier to shroud stuff.

And so Dave would get off my back for not having dual outlets, I put these guys on. Aluminum, naturally.

Anyway, Bikes are buzzing around. The smell of spring is in the air. I had better go clean this beast before Tomorrow's dyno session! I am nervous!

If you guys even think about taking the boys, be sure to have some muffs or something for their ears. Their ears are way to sensitive at this stage for that kind of noise. The other room would be preferable.
How many cars are lined up this time around? Get some pics and leave the license plates in the trunk!!

Totally agree...If they won't leave muffs or plugs alone, don't bring them unless that other room knocks a significant amount of dB off things. I'd imagine anything 95dB or louder right now would be too loud for them (many truck back-up alarms are 95-100dB, the really loud ones are 105-110 for noisy locations, you start to loose hearing at something like 120dB).

612 whp and 527wtq pretty much maxed the turbo out. Broke the awd dyno record for torque but whp was 23 shy

Very nice Hank. I guess it liked more fuel, more intercooler, and more BOOST!! I see that in Dave's thread that he did some very respectable numbers and mentioned that John's RS4 did just under 300whp. What did he think about you doubling his very nice yellow car? Wish I could have been there!! This is the same car that you drove down to Vegas a couple of weekends ago with your family (dog included) in the back seat right? Nice family ride! 8)
