So finally got everything in. As requested, I have posted the following pictures showing the difference between the modified audi k24 housing and a stock porsche K26 #6 hotside. It's quite noticeable really.

Here it is in all its shiny glory after I mated it to the porsche K26 housing

It's really hard to tell from the last 2 pictures, but the Porsche K26 has a much larger runner going into the turbo housing. Me and scubadave believe this is a good reason to his detonation issues. The exit diameter on the Porsche k26 is a MUCH better fit with its 50.00mm diameter. I'm honestly not sure what that will change over the 51.xx mm exit diameter of the modified Audi K24. Perhaps a reduction in turbulence????

All I know is I'm going to polish what I can on the inside of the porsche hotside and enjoy the hell out of this turbo.

Ugh. Had a fight with the CIS tonight. Fired it uo after 2 weeks of sitting and it did NOT want to idle. After backing out the idle adjustment screw, it finally idled. I dont get it. 2 weeks ago it was fine. I do know there is something wrong with the fuel system. I hooked up a pressurr gauge between the WUR and the fuek distributor and measured the fuel psi after shutting the car off. It idl es at 55-60psi which is normal. Then upon shutdown it immediately drops to 15psi. Its only supposed to drop to 45psi after 10 minutes. Where the hell is my fuel going?! Ugh I am so ready for VEMS

Im highly suspecting the WUR committed suicide by boredom. I have a couple extras and all signs have been pointing to it, so Ill change it this weekend

Couldn't a bad FPR be the culprit too?

Mr. Taco - I had a similar issue on my 87 Fox with CIS - I ended up ripping off the CIS for a 32/36 carb but I realized when I pulled the injectors off it was simply that the injectors had some crud in them (Most noticeably in the Cold Start Injector) Give those bad boys a nice brake cleaner batch and check those lines.

Well, another CIS problem. Dont know about you, but I dont forsee the current fuel system keeping up the the Volvo K24. I could be wrong though.

Dont know if you noticed, but there is a set of 550cc injectors for sale in the swap meet. hint...hint... ;)

A volvo CIS unit is very cheap as well with a one or two extra Injectors along the way:) - search alaincopter on vwvortex for some CIS inspiration.
