but of course, LOL. i have had a number of "hate" threads made about me by other users. most of them make a psuedo-name prior to making it so i do not know their true identity. because invariably they all end up crediting me in some way, shape, or form sometime and it would be bad form for them to diss me and "prop" me on the same name. that is sort of contradictory.... either that, or they are just cowardly little twelve-teen year old girls.
but it amazes me how people could even think i would put MY SON in harms way at all.
and yeah H, this little guy is such the "mini-me" its actually kinda scary..... i caught him tryin to lower his first car, on his first birthday. he sees me in this position or something close alot, and wants to be like Dad.
and going to the car show/races....

Wait a minute......Hank and I already have been there done that and this is the result so be careful.
and sorry, John, about the language on the poortex thread. i get a little worked up there unfortunately.... :bashtard:
but yes, i think Chub may just be a car guy.

soooo. i got a new filter for the E85.... SS mesh. required a new body and fittings as well. oh well.
i ALSO got a new little toy. a 10 BAR/150 psi pressure sender to be able to log fuel pressure to the ECU. this way the ECU will see whats up with fuel pressure.
thats all. carry on.
and it is my official stance that E85 stinks.... C-16 smells WAY BETTER....

this may be a stupid question, but these 044 pumps are e85 safe correct? i mean, i know people run them....but has anyone verified that we arent slowly (or rapidly) killing them with the e85?

if i get a year out of them, they become consumables for me LOL.
dunno the answer though.

ok so, quoted from the Attached Factory Bosch pdf.
"Bosch Fuel Pumps are designed for use with standard grade petrol. Subject to statutory warranties, Bosch does not warrant the performance characteristics or specifications of these fuel pumps if they are used with Alcohol or Ethanol based fuels or fuel additives that are corrosive."
but when i called bosch the tech support guy said he didnt think itd be a problem. and gave me the number to bosch motorsports (cause its not really a normal automotive app pump) and that guy also said that he thinks the pump will be fine.

spent a couple hours last night with Mr Black doing some pre-dyno tuning work on the map.... got it to idle much better, toned things down some. light load pulls. looking gooooood.
install of electronic sender for fuel pressure tonight, dyno thursday evening. PLEASE REMEMBER I AM NOT GOING FOR ULTRA HIGH ASS NUMBERS!!!! I WANT TO MAKE IT SAFE AND TRACK IT BEFORE I DO THAT!! (so 500 AWHP is what i am looking for. not going to run 9500 rpm nor >40 psi.... YET
also gotta make the clutch pedal stop. and go over the car again for anything loose, whatever.
Bug-Run on Sat June 5th may go shake it out. June 7th private track day i want to STEP ON IT!

You should definitely go to Bug-Run. That way I'll actually get to see it run. May even run my S4 just for kicks.

cold start video. Kevin Black spent a couple hours last night sorting out idle AFR's and the switch to E85 and 1600cc injectors.
i am thinking now already of switching out to the Injector Dynamics 2200cc injectors.... lets see how tomorrow goes with the dyno.
and please excuse the language in the vid, it is for the VWVortex sheep, they need a disclaimer if they see my stuff anymore.
Whoretex can blow me! (in the forced induction sense of course)
Canot wait to see how the dyno goes tomorrow. FYI if you pop it on the dyno I am gonna fly out there and kick your ass!

@ idle they go low.... like 12's or so. but the 1600cc injectors dont like to run under 1.7ms.... or so i am told.
i think it is much better than it was....

i have a pretty good sense of what i am doing.
For the masses info, Kevin will be doing the buttons again. BUT, i also have one of the EFI-101.com INSTRUCTORS on this tune... kinda as a second set of eyes.
Brian Macy is a very good tuner, and an instructor now for teaching tuning. and he will be a part of tomorrows session. Kevin is extremely fast with the software, and we have all had it put out there that we are not shooting for the moon. it needs to see how it drives, period. this is what I WANT, and then i will push it for some more power. i have no doubt in my mind that it will make power, seriously....

wow? I gotta start slipping into high power thinking mode one of these days I guess. Why does it have to idle so rich?just cause of the injectors?

but the 1600cc injectors dont like to run under 1.7ms....
thus why i am already contemplating the ID 2200's. they have better controlability down low. its inherent in the Bosch injector that it is harder to control down low. in everything, there is give and take. so they give up some low down, but take things higher up top? make sense? this is, also, how i understand it to be. some cars are different than others, too. but idle is not a sacrifice i want to make.... thus injectors @ $235 apiece are in my sights.
the FWD VW Corrado they run, 934 WHP and 8.9X 1/4 mile, runs two rails with 1600cc injectors in each rail, on Methanol.
