Hey Matt, I also have those pictures. I just haven't had time to sit down and upload them. I will as soon as I get a spare moment.

01E's 1 and 2 lock up if you look at them wrong.. One missed shift and good night. You basically should rebuild any used one before it goes into the car. I have paid 500 to 1000 for perfectly good 01Es that needed a rebuild shortly after going in. My rebuilt unit with updated syncros and shift collars is a rock star though. Why not keep that 01E and just rebuild it?

dude Ben, I've been just so jealous the past 6 months watching so much progress with your car while mine just sits waiting her operation. One day though. Cant WAIT to get a ride in the beast... once the trans/shifting issues are fixed.

Backup trans is mated, so tomorrow after work the rest will go together. :) Lets hope I don't run into any other issues!

Hey Jim, mainly because I have another one here that I was going to test out for Dan and if it's a good working unit, I'm just going to run it. I don't have the capital right now to swing rebuilding the other 01E the way it really needs to be.

EDIT: Also the transmission is a lot worse off than I anticipated. SO either way, it's all worked out. :)

It pulls really well once boost rolls on, though right now I am just on WG spring pressure and such. SO once I get my boost control working and tuned up, this thing is going to rip. :D Not to mention, this 6spd has a LOT better gear ratios in comparison to the 016 which that alone makes the car feel a lot different.
