Ben,
When I test power and grounds I use a 2 ohm 100 watt resistor in series with my digital amp meter. If batt voltage is approx 12.6 volts engine not running you should have approx 6 amps flowing in a good power or ground circuit if all things are okay.
This test is done with the computer completely out of the circuit and is a good method for checking any 18 to 10 gauge wiring, power and ground circuits.
This method puts the circuit in a dynamic load condition. A good method to determine if the circuit is good or bad. This method has saved my ass so many times I can't recall.
If you don't have a resistor you could also use a headlamp as a quick crude method to put a load on the circuit. Observing the brightness is archaeic, but should be consistent between the circuits.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Craig

I like this. How about using a horn instead of a headlamp if you want to piss off the neighbors?

Jim, also a great method. I use this method when checking fuel pump circuits on Chevy's and anything else I can think off where I can't see the meter.
It really does piss the other mechanics off though.
Cheers,
Craig

BACK IN BIZZZZNEEEZZZZ! After messing around with grounds (mainly the coil ground), fixing broken wires and such it finally lives! Ultimately I had to go back to the old firmware because I just couldn't get it to run right, so I figured for the heck of it I would try my old one again. BOOM TOWN, it fired right up. I will say this is the first time I have EVER had zero trigger errors all the way through the RPM range. I am not going to lie, this is a MAJOR load off. Now I just need to get the trans in and button back up the wiring.
Also, thanks for all the help guys! I really appreciate it!

I was on 1.1.95 but I updated to 1.2.11. But now I'm back on 1.1.95.

Dude, I can't wait to be driving it down! If everything goes butter smooth, I will have about 5 days of test and tune before the caravan happens.

Here ya go man, one of some free revs and LC and the other of just LC. EVEN the LC is different now that I have zero trigger errors. I LOVE IT!
