Clunk is likely trans, rear diff mounts. I would just save up for the solid 034 ones. Double check the rubber around the center bearing on the driveline isn't wasted. If you need a used trans/ diff mount or two I can round up what I have lying around? Although I am sure you saved a bunch of interchangeable parts like that.

That would be awesome guys. I do also need to know how many subframe bushings there are which ones are which and where to get them.

Also third gear sometimes makes a grinding noise when I put it into gear.
What RPM is a good shift point? With the exhaust that's on the car it's kinda Blatty.

Well pm me your address and ill send off what I have to you. I have no need for them and they aren't worth but pennies, so we'll call it a welcome to your new coupe baby/audi shower present. just get the aluminum ones from 034 for the sub frame bushings. syncro is bad on the trans, afraid there is nothing you can do short of replacing the trans about that. Flowmasters on na coupes are loud. I pulled mine off happily after too long. I have magnaflow on mine now but the turbo helps quiet it down too. You need anything else I can part with for a good cause?

Ummm, I might need better tail lights, mine have clumps of mold or something inside...
My passenger window is SLOW.
Shift boot that's not cracked or crunchy?
My speedo doesn't always work? It bounces and then drops and then will pop back to life sometimes... Dunno if it's a speedo sensor or the cluster itself.
Any other cheap tips will be appreciated!!!
I'll take more photos today!!!

X2 on the 034 subframe mounts. As for the syncro, you can still get replacement parts from Scott. When I was looking to parts he told me $75 each for the syncros.

Push the wiper stalk forward and it should turn it off. Hold it forward and it blows its load all over the rear lol.

Stephen, the guy in San Antonio who owned it before me straight-piped it back and eliminated the Cat and the forward resonator, so that's why it is 'blatty' (BTW thats the perfect word to describe how it sounds). I put a universal cat converter and a new O2 sensor on it to pass the Houston emissions inspection, but never got around to putting in a replacement resonator.
As far as the third gear grind, if I drove it without winding it out (which was almost always) it didnt make the grind for me...but then again that tranny has 200K plus miles on it so the syncros have seen their fair share of work.
Have fun!

Stephen, if you dont want your trans to end up like mine, you might want to change the syncros soon.

What's the difference between a CQ sunroof panel and an S2 sunroof panel?
I have the trans out of my CQ available... only 104k miles

I'll probably get that trans sooner or later.
I should have specified the panel. It's the control panel for the sunroof.
Its similar but it has a dial to control the sunroof instead of a button.
Text me with your name or mg name and I'll send a picture!

Double clutch. Try it.
Also try swapping the tranny fluid to some better higher end fluid. or just fresh fluid for that matter. I put redline fluid and some of their fluid additive(cant remember the name of it?) to a tranny that ground a bit and that helped it to stop.
