When we balanced the injectors, leakage was the first thing we checked for, and found none. Now that I think about it, all this started after I de-shimmed the dizzy. Guess Ill do what I should have done a week ago and hook the dwell meter up to the duty cycle connector

That or just go VEMS and be done with it.....FOREVER

About $775 for the Ecu and about $350 for the almost PNP harness. Add the cost of a fuel rail and injectors and you have an efi'd 20vt for less than $1400 depending on what you do for injectors.
Not cheap, but pretty affordable compared to other systems. If one were to choose to later on, 1.8T/2.0T Coils are a very easy addition for just the cost of the coils and connectors. and maybe a couple wires.

cheaper than 034 for sure.. its a decent sounding option though.

I was planning on making my own harness to give me something to do and save overall cost. I am planning on doing coil on plug as well. I was originally going to do an MSD ignition setup but apparently VEMS can do that with the coils :)

The cost of the wire, connectors, and loom is almost $350 alone. I've thought it would be fun to make my own harness, but at the same time it's very affordable for what it is.
Who knows. Maybe my next project I'll make my own harness.

I was going to use an AAN harness cut to size or even make a 7A harness work....who knows. I'm not worrying about it for another 3 months. I've already got some of the required hardware to run it such as a TPSor others

Just use the VEMS harness and go coil on plug.

I dunno man, cutting and splicing the AAN harness didn't turn out to be all that bad.

Huh? You removed the shims from the fuel dizzy and you still have 115 psi? I'm pretty sure an MC1 doesn't need that much fuel pressure to run 15 psi. I am at stock MC2 fuel pressure (95 psi) and am running 17 psi boost.

You could go VEMS, just figure on not being able to drive your daily car for the next several months.

I dont plan to go vems until the car is ready for it and everything outstanding is fixed in spring/summer. Im just collecting parts in preparation for VEMS. Dont forget about my other secret project I gotta budget for....although I might scrap that and buy a Viper t-56 trans conversion kit that recently popped up for my Dakota. 6-speed goodness.....(and I hate sticks, only trans I would ever consider putting in my truck over an Auto)

the trans that wouldve been in the dakota had it been a stick ( nv3500 ) doesnt hold up to race truck shifting for too long. ;)
but damn was my chevy sport 350 5 speed fast. :D

I thought about going with an NV4500 but gearing isnt right for being a sport truck. That 5-speed mustve been a hoot

the nv3500 gearing was quite different from the 4500. but the 4500 could take more torque and hp. but at the cost of much slower shifitng.
and it was an absolute blast. the tack in the truck only read to 5500 and it went past that almost daily. engine was stout. the needle in the tack would touch i think it was either 25 mph or 30 mph. deff a top end truck.

Basket is in the powdercoat shop. Went with a nice semi-gloss black and a texture. Should come out nice, match the faded black trim, and hide the flaws.

Killed a WRX last night. Whats weird is that number 5 is leaking exhaust like a mofo and Ive lost 3 lbs/boost. He stayed one car lenght behind till I hit 5th and then just started pulling away like a freight train. Makes me wonder if my buddies wrx really is stock....

Around here thats called mustang stock.

Whats done to it?
Nothing really. Exhaust. Intake. Pretty much stock..

After a run you hear the dumps open and the cam lopes and you just think f***..
