Oh I see.
Sadly I don't see many of those in the junk yards in my neck o'the woods.

I guess I will have to scour the net for some deals.

One thought I had today regarding the coil cutout that could be a reasonably 'easy way out' of this issue. Right now I'm running wasted spark, my thought is if I install a non-b0rked passenger side dizzy and reconfig my settings to run non-waste spark it might give my coils enough dwell time to survive these power levels...

Stay tuned.

Sooo I just got back from limerock, had a blast as always (hard to have a bad day at the track when your car comes home in one piece :) ). Got a major oil burning issue I have to investigate.

My crankcase filter was overflowing badly, so bad in fact that I was sucking about 1.5 quarts of oil per 30 minute session through the turbine inlet (which in turn has thoroughly coated my intake pipes. The around the blowoff valve was saturated with oil when I'd pull into the pits). Now it appears the engine is burning oil from elsewhere as well, need to do a leakdown test to see where its coming from (I suspect the valvestem oil seals as I hadn't had a chance to replace them). My eyes were about ready to pop out of my skull by the time I made it back to NH from all the oil smoke coming through the cabin. Winter is about here so its time to pull the car off the road anyway and start working on some of the more long term updates like the 6 speed install, etc.

I know how you feel. On my trip to MI I had to roll with my windows down as I forgot to clip the fuel vent line somewhere under the car as opposed to the engine bay. At 4-5am and 40s, its no fun. Fumes come through where my AC lines used to go in the cabin....now my ECU harnes comes through there so it's still pretty open....all the fumes come through.

Glad the car held up in one piece, sans the oil issue.

Marc, have you ever thought about coming out with a kit install the Audi V8 engine in the 90 Coupe. I want to do this project too but I just want all the fab parts to be premade, as far has for the installation of the engine into the 90 coupe.

No real plans for that. Frankly there isn't enough of a market to make it worth while. I've got another project idea involving an a8 and a supercharger that I would make into a kit if I ever manage to get started on it :-P

Let me know about the ECU we talked about at LRP.
