Sorry for the late reply. I have been scrambling to get the truck back together before tomorrow and that has taken up a bit of my time.

As far as the mounts go, for the most part, yes -- install them and forget about them. Everything flexes to some degree but these are much stiffer over the factory OEM rubber but not quite as stiff as solid metal. I couldn't tell the difference in handling over solid aluminum but I did notice a quieter, smoother, and nicer ride.

As far as wearing out, I have a lifetime warranty on them as long as you own the car. I've yet to see any get trashed, including my own that I mercilessly beat around time and time again.
