It'll be a job and a half to keep traction on this thing off the line. Gear based boost control will be dialed in

you can probably count the 2.5" thick billet aluminum oil pan as a girdle.

Yup, the oil pan was designed to tie the bottom of the block together as a structural member
So far it seems to be working well
