Aww man, sorry to hear about the miscarriage. I haven't been through it myself but my wife works at a midwife clinic and we have two little people ourselves. It can be truly difficult. You probably know all about Rogam shots and the likelihood of miscarriage after a miscarriage and all that crap... my heart goes out to you brother. Stay there and be strong for her. If need be even forget about the car ;)

Oh, and nice work on the intercooler! That's what she said? Lol

Wait a min... arent you the one advocating the speed holes? As for this weekend, that is up to you. I wont be able to be there on Sat, have the whole family thing to do in the afternoon/evening. We will figure that out.

It is hard, we have been through 3 of them in the past 2 years. The crazy part is, the first time we got pregnant was with my daughter, and had zero complications. Its crazy how things work, but I guess we werent ment ot have another. Asfor forgetting about the car, she wont let me, my wife knows that with my work, and what has been going on lately that working on the car has actually been keeping me sane.

HAHA, I had to work this morning. Not to mention the freezing rain that started while I was at work. No chance of even working on it today.

Well finaly got some time yesterday to work on the Bandit. I got the intake side of the IC piping all buttoned up. The BOV I picked up was acttually the hardest part to figure out. I needed to place it somwhere close to the TB, but keep it out of the way of the engines moving parts. My solution, put it right in front of the timing cover. With only haveing the alt. and PS pump, both of my belts are running twards the DS of the car. That leaves enough room to put that there. The piping is 2.5" so that also revealed some chanleges. But I was able to work them out, and still have enough "safe" room for the belts.

The best part, was when I dropped the grill on for fun. Now you see it

Now you don't(ok well almost  )

I wanted to tackle a few other tasks yesterday, but the sun was going down, and I promised the wife I would be home for dinner this time. So I figured to keep the little wanna-be's from snagging that big ol BOV, I might as well slap the front end together the rest of the way. Here is the result, YAY it looks like a car again!

Not too bad looking for having been sitting there in that spot for about 2 years! Man this took a lot longer than I ever expected. But the good news is I am down to wireing, fluids, and the exhaust. YAY I can see the light at the end of this VERY long tunnel :flag:

Now for the expected "I need something" question/statement.

When Attaching the trim that goes under the headlights, and across the front end, the little plastic trim retainer that it pops into on the fender broke. Does anyone know where I might be able to find some of these? The PS broke and fell out, while the DS is still in there but is split in half.

Yeah, Im pretty well itching to have it running too! Once Shawn builds my divider board, and attaches it to the MS, should be pretty well home free. He has my exhaust (thanks again Dana) and he is also building my wiring harness. Put in all those pieces, add fluids, and try to start it.

Im goal here is to having it on the road at the latest end of March. That will give me all of April to work out the bug, and have it well tuned for carlisle. Keep your fingers crossed!

I just spent a little over an hour on the road and $8, but at least I now have the new grommets for my head light trim.

Can you spot them? :wtf:

Not to mention my miss spelled last name. I even spelled it for the guy on the phone. :shame:

Not much to report, with the snow that we had, and the lack of parts I havent gotten to put anything on the car. On the plus side, I have a pair of FW sensor leads incoming from Mr. Swanson, so that will make life easier when its time to finaly wire this thing up.

Come on warmer weather... Just need it to be above freezing...

They say sandpaper is good for polishing. What you choose to polish is your business however :we:

The pic actually makes them look pretty good. Much worse in person, but what could I expect for $50

AngryTaco wrote:I know right? I vote for 19" superleggera wheels with big awesome brakes

Im actually considering 17" wheels. I know the tires would be rubber bands, but would look kinda cool... maybe :hide:

If it wasnt for working nights, having a kid, and the car sitting 1/2 hour away, I would probably be working on it everyday!

Carlisle is definetly not hopeless. I just need to get a few things taken care of. Just wish is wasnt so freaking cold! Wife and kid are just getting over being sick, and I REALLY cant afford to get sick. I have every intention of having this car running and driving by the very latest march.

Last year was wishful thinking. This year is definitely going to happen. All thats needed is wiring, exhaust, and tuning. Cant be more than a weekends worth of work. Its snowing again, or I would have been messing with it today.

I got a package today from the great Mr. Swanson. I now have my VR sensor leads!
Image
In what had to be the best and fastest transaction I have ever made. He took payment, made them, and shipped them all within a few hours!

I now have a somewhat small but very important piece of the puzzle! Now I just need to meet up with Shawn so we have finish up the harness, build the divider board, and I can take posession of my exhaust. Im sure he is tired of hearing it rattle around the back of his car. :D

Things are coming together. Cant wait to hear this thing fire for the first time!
