Pedal Box Complete!

Converted to a B5 DBW throttle pedal, enlarged the brake and clutch pedals and added grip tape, added some stiffeners and had a friend turn some delrin pivot bushings.

Nice, Brandon. Taking note on that pedal setup! Want to make another one?

40v D2's have a gas pedal potentiometer that you can hook a cable up to and put the pot anywhere convenient and still use your factory gas pedal.
I believe Mk4 VW's use similar setup.

That's pretty sweet Alex! Good to know for future projects! That would have been easier to make a bracket and incorporate with a single pulley, perhaps. The only perk with the DBW gas pedal assembly is they are a dime a dozen and cheap at a junkyard. I get the feeling Jimmy G is trying to strong arm me to make a replica of my DBW gas pedal mount and maybe even some replace weld on pedal plates

They weren't too difficult to make, it was actually more of a PITA to clean up the OEM pedals for welding! I used a brake in my Harbor Freight press to form the pedals cleanly vs other tried and trued methods with a vice and hammer... (https://www.swagoffroad.com/SWAG-20-TON ... _p_40.html)

Here's a few more pics before paint and grip tape and welding in supports/stiffeners:

I would covid hug you right now. This is the one thing I hate about my car, these pedals were not made for size 14 shoes. It's better with driving shoes on right now. Plus I really want to go DBW, very inspiring!
