How else do you expect it to handle 1200 ft-lbs of I0vt torque?

That should be a significant increase in flow! Just don't bend any this time...

Just a quick update. I should know the status of the head and valvetrain later today from Colin over at TT. I have been very frugal recently due to purchasing the property my businesses resides on and also planning to take over a local competitor's shop as well as purchasing a Duplex in the Spring or Summer (thus effecting the speed of most of my projects).
Have patience as stuff is still getting done

So Colin and I figured out what we are doing. 42mm/35mm valves, 7mm stems, port work, under bucket shims, race springs good for 9000 rpm, head clearencing for the cam, custom pinned lifters and some other small insignificant things. Should run around $2000ish for those wondering. Cheap in my opinion but the best money can buy according to Colin. Fast times ahead

After 5 years from my last post, I'm happy to say this project is active once again. Building up (multiple) a business has been extremely time and money consuming. I'm finally ahead of the curve and money is finally free again to put into frivolous projects
I spoke with Gerner tonight and we have decided on the following piston specs for this build:
81.5mm bore
20mm wrist pins
17.5cc Dome volume
20vt MLS which is .062 compressed thickness
.005" deck height clearance
This gives us a 10.0:1 compression ratio
Ive decided to go the VW Polo rear main seal route with the 60-2 setup. Already ordered from marc and on the way.
Today I sent my VEMS ECU out to Marc for a DBW hardware upgrade and for installation of a 4 or 5 bar map sensor. Projected boost with the EFR7670 is 40psi which should put me roughly in the 600whp range
Other non-engine related items have been procured over the years including Cibie Euro Headlights, random interior stuff, etc
I've had the completed cylinder head back from TechTonics for a while now. Colin there did an excellent job between notching the head, porting, machine work, etc
