Thanks, I'll have mine from Issam tomorrow. Oddly he said he was in NY but the origin listed for the shipment is Canada. All the same, its shipping quite quickly.

Watch the tracking, if it doesn't ship out today, then call bullshit on him. He has generated tracking numbers for me in the past just to buy himself some time.
He came through in the end, but I'd rather be told you will have it in two weeks up front instead of being drug along for a week.
I'm grateful for the work he is doing, but sometimes you have to know how to manage expectations with certain vendors.

Re: No longer WTB: billet crankcase breather 054-103-129
Yep, you called it.
For a man that's in New York who has sent me a package scheduled for delivery today, I'd say he's chosen an incredibly efficient shipping chain for his distribution. Package is in Canada but still has 1 hour to make it's delivery window. I'll keep my music down to listen for the delivery guy. It's 10:50 pm EST.
I did ask him outright for a US distributor for his product, to which he answered he's in "New York." His product is coming from Ontario. Maybe it's a glitch
No wander the s2forum group buy thread had it's replies disabled!
Let's play a game.. what would you do if you were me and had some choice questions for someone so clearly being misdirecting and insincere with his business??

Re: Get a load of this: billet crankcase breather 054-103-12
I've bought and received free from Issam many parts in past. Based on my dealings I wouldn't be concerned.
I also live in Canada, very close to the US border (Ogdensburg NY). To save on shipping both ways, I send and receive things to/from the UPS store in Ogdensburg. I wouldn't be surprised if he's doing the same to save you shipping cost. Of course I wouldn't drive the 2 hours back and forth for one item, but if I had a few things to ship out or receive then it would be worthwhile.

Thanks, and you're right. I should've come back and updated. I received the item a week or so later that it was scheduled. I emailed him and found out he was out of stock in the US and that he ships from Canada in that event. He just didn't warn me is all. It only seemed shady and can I had to ask for details and also because i initiated our transaction by asking if he had a US seller instead of the Canadian address he uses according to his website. It was only funny because of the irony involved with where the item EVENTUALLY shipped from no matter how hard I tried to prevent it hah

Issam has been one of the better parts manufacturers and suppliers I've dealt with in the old-school Audi scene over the years. Great guy, great parts, great prices. Not much to not like.

Ya it has been the general consensus but there was still that one vocal individual on the s2forum group buy thread that made me wander. This situation was made sort of "unfair" for him because he basically told me he was shipping from NY and I mostly told him upfront that my whole basis for ordering from him was to avoid the border.

I'm considering just deleting this entire thread since everything was eventually resolved, even though I had to come asking why things weren't matching up with what was discussed.

Issam has been an Audi guy and on all the forums
since day 1. He could have 10 people whine online
like that one guy on s2forum and %99 of us would
still buy his stuff. His face is that good in the community.
Me personally I’ve never had one issue with his service or parts.

Re: Get a load of this: billet crankcase breather 054-103-12
That's good. I know his name well. It was just a very odd scenario between us with far too much prying necessary on my part. Product is spot on, of course.
